Booked this room to take my 5 year old and 6 month old on vacation May 19-21st 2017. The first night was great except for the loud traffic. However the next morning after getting up and dressed for the day, there was a cockroach that appeared out of nowhere ON THE BED! Then we left for the beach. Parking was very tight and bumper of my car was ripped off. When we got back to the room after spending the day at the beach there was a situation where like 6 police units rushed the property to a specific room. Went and ate supper on boardwalk. Got back to the room and secretly killed ANOTHER cockroach so my daughter didn't have another melt down. Only good thing abt this place was location next to the boardwalk. Never again. There is no pool like they claim. and the queen beds they advertised were only full sized. Very unpleasant stay. Oh and there isn't an elevator so pack lightly.

This room was actually great for the price and location, especially if your focus is the Kemah Boardwalk, the on site staff is very friendly and has knowledge of the surrounding area,I would have done 5 stars for the room but we did get locked out due to the door latch breaking,,but the staff quickly intervened and offered us another room it was our last night so once we got in it was fine,no need to bother the owners,,it was very quiet, and enjoyable experience. On the downside there was no pool, and the kiddos were disappointed, but other than that it was a perfect stay. The beds were so comfortable I enjoyed resting every evening,,give this place a try..the Boardwalk is in actual walking distance and it has a variety of restaurants surrounding it...

TOOK ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE IN CRISIS DURING HURRICANE BERYL. Spiked up prices! These rooms are normally NOT $300 a night, obviously they shouldn’t be, they aren’t even close to being worth that price. The rooms are extremely small. Comes with no amenities, no pool, no breakfast, no nothing. It said $90 online but when I got there seeking relief due to the power outage the storm caused was charged $293.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We booked this room at Scottish inn and suites in kemah, TX and paid $267 for 2 nights. It was not worth the price or the foundation it stands on. We DID NOT stay the second night. And of course no compensation was given. We initially booked the room with the understanding that one of out amenities would be a jacuzzi tub, for that price and wanting to enjoy our trip with a little more luxury, we thought it'd be worth it. When we got into the room, there was no tub as advertised. The reason for cutting our trip short was due to the safety and amount of noise coming through the door. Safety became an issue because the door barley stayed closed. It could easily be kicked in with little force as it was barley held shut by the deadbolt in the knob. And of course we got very little sleep with the large gap in the door allowing so much noise and light come into the room all night. But who can sleep with uncertainty of safety? I explained the issues to the woman at the desk and she just stared back with a dumbfounded, clueless look on her face. All she said was, "I cannot issue a refund." The fact that they allow their guests stay in unsecure rooms alone shows the concern they have for satisfied customers. I couldn't tell if the cluelessness on her face was from not understanding english well or if she just wanted to act dumb. She didn't want to make eye contact either which is a big issue with me as it shows character and morally soundness. I don't normally insult an individual in such a way but when you are in a business that is meant to serve and accommodate your customers while they are taking time away for relaxation, you should put more care and pride into your work. Some form of effort should have been made to correct the situation. None was given. Very little was said and of course no apology of any sort was made. This establishment is in a prime location and recently updated from the looks of it. You would think that it would be a decent experience. You can slap a fresh coat of paint on it any day of the week, but if the people inside are not accommodating, caring, decent, respectful, morally sound individuals, you end up with a business that will eventually fail. We didn't book during a busy season and it's not like people are banging down the door to stay there. We didn't get what we paid for or agreed to when booking this room, so any sort of "contract" or agreement became invalid due to the Scottish inn and suites not holding up to their end of the deal by providing the advertised amenities and allowing their customers to be put in a room with little to no scurity in the door. Again, the right thing to do would have been issue a refund for the night we did not stay, even a partial refund would have been accepted but not even an ounce of concern was given. Stay at...

This hotel is a dump! We booked this hotel for 4 days. We arrived late the first night and were very unpleasantly surprised. As it was already 11:00 pm, we decided that we would stay the night and check out in the morning. There was no toliet paper in the room. The TV only had one channel, and the phone did not work. The chair in the room was torn - looked like it should be taken to the dump. We tried to take a shower, but there was no hot water. That was the last straw - my husband went down to the office to tell them we were checking out while I got our stuff together. We lugged our suitcases back down the three flights of stairs and went to the office to check out. They had closed and gone home. So we figured we had no choice but to stay the night and deal with it in the morning. So we lugged our suitcases back up the three flights of stairs (there is no elevator) and the door to our room would not open. The key turned the lock, but the door was stuck. After about 20 minutes of trying to get the door open, we went back to the office and called the emergency number on the door - no answer. So we went back up and got our luggage AGAIN! While carrying it down, we received a call on our cell phone from someone from the hotel who saw that we had called the emergency number. He said someone would be over in 5 minutes to get us in. No one came. Finally a couple of girls drove up and went into the office. We hurried over and explained our situation. They gave us a different room which they had personally check out and found to be ready. So after dragging our luggage up once again, we went to the new room. The carpet had not seen a vacuum in some time. There were NO towels or wash clothes in the room - unless you count the dirty one still hanging over the rack from the previous guests. And, once again, no hot water. As it was now 1:30 in the morning, we just went to bed and checked out in the morning. Hope we didn't pick up bedbugs! Do yourself a favor and pass on this one - the Holiday Inn next door was really nice and not much more money. Believe me, this is not a good place to try to...
