Read moreHad a great time at the boardwalk with the family decided to stop in and grab dinner. Looking forward to some great seafood. Staff treated us great atmosphere was nice and very friendly everyone had a smile. Great waitress we asked what she recommended so we ordered food didn’t take long at all 10-15 min.Just by looking at it I could tell the shrimp was over cooked coconut shrimp was a dark brown same as the battered shrimp. Tempura was not over cooked but no flavor all the food was bland. The sauce serving was so small about two table spoons in a small serving cup not enough to try and flavor my shrimp. Fish and chip had same batter no seasoning at all. Third plate was shrimp jambalaya Bubba missed the mark that was Mexican rice with shrimp. No sausage in it big platter of sloppy Mexican rice with scarred shrimp. Being so close to fresh sea food you would expect it to taste fresh and look fresh. It looks and tastes like frozen seafood. Was expecting something compared to Dirty Al’s seafood restaurant those who know will know that place smell tastes and looks fresh! Not bashing the staff just the food. The owner needs to take a trip to Dirty Al’s South Padre Island and come back and slap Bubba across the face with real jumbo shrimp and some good old fashion seasoning! You failed me Bubba On a good note manager comped the ticket left the waitress a good tip...
Read moreOur family reunion brought together nearly 30 of us from all over the world, and we chose Bubba Gump Kemah for dinner, arriving around 6:50 PM. Unfortunately, this turned out to be an extremely disappointing experience.
Our original server seemed overwhelmed from the beginning, and when we kindly asked if she could get some assistance, her demeanor changed drastically. She appeared visibly upset, stormed off, and her attitude was unprofessional. A manager eventually came over to assist—almost two hours later.
We did not receive our food until after 9 PM. When it finally arrived, much of it was cold, and to make matters worse, one of the dishes had a live bug crawling all over the food. This was absolutely disgusting and left us unsure if anyone else had unknowingly consumed contaminated food. By that point, most of us had lost our appetites and were ready to leave.
This was not only a terrible customer service experience but also an embarrassing and unsanitary one—especially given how expensive it was. It’s unfortunate that our family members, many visiting from outside the country, had to endure such a poor experience.
We hope this issue is taken seriously, as no guest should have to deal with long delays, rude service, or questionable food quality—especially at a well-known establishment...
