The lap bar did not go down to my lap. Although there was a seat belt, there is a lap bar for a reason. It did not serve its purpose. It was at least a foot off of my lap. In other roller coaster parks there have been seat belt malfunctions, but the people still stayed in because of the other restrains. I would have flew out of this roller coaster if there was a seat belt malfunction. Not only that but they had to switch out the trains because of "mechanical difficulties". I had to wait for three hours to ride this roller coaster because of the testing. This is an extremely rough ride, and not safe whatsoever. It is also very pricey for the roller coaster you are getting. It is 6 dollars to ride it ONE TIME. A young girl has slipped out of this roller coaster once, so I highly advise you not to ride it. If I could give this ride 0 stars I would. I appreciate the hard work to make sure that this ride is safe, and into the manufacturing of this coaster. But with a disfunctional lap bar, incidents on this ride before, and an extremely rough ride I hope you won't spend your money on this...
Read moreThis roller coaster is surprisingly intense! I usually go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas to get my roller coaster fix but I have to say this roller coaster impressed me much more than expected. I sat in one of the middle rows the first time and it was a fun time, but felt it was lacking a bit in intensity like the ones I'm used to in San Antonio,
But I rode it in the back the second time and that's where I should have sat the first time! It feels so much more tough but in the best way possible. I couldn't stop screaming from the excitement as the roller coaster felt like it pulled significantly harder in the back, especially on that first drop, I left with a smile on my face afterwards.
I will ride in the back for that power punch to the gut from now on, as that is where I feel like the roller coaster shines! With it being wooden coaster, gives it a distinct rough feel that is quite exhilarating. I'll be coming yearly from now on whenever I can't make it to San Antonio or Dallas for my coaster fix! Highly recommend it! Especially on the last...
Read moreThis is a ride with lots of potential, however the trains are near unbearable. Like many older Gravity Group coasters, the trains use an unconfortable PTC train design and while the ride itself seems fairly smooth for its age, the trains magnify the roughness. The park desperately needs to upgrade to timberliners. This would honestly transform this into a world class coaster. Timberliners are made by gravity group so I would imagine that the transition would be rather painless. It has been tested on other gravity groups such as voyage and seemed to work fine (however holiday world opted to keep the PTC trains due to the increased noise of the timberliners). All in all, this ride would probably be an easy 5 star if it had proper airtime giving comfortable seats available on timberliners. People would get of the ride smiling instead of rubbing...
