Crystal Events — Attraction in Kenner

Our wedding on July 26, 2014 at the Crystal Plantation. We both haven't heard of it but it was recommended by a friend. We called and set up an appointment to view the venue and Mr Donnie was there to answer any and all questions. He is a very honest person who was always there when we needed anything. He stayed in touch with us to make sure we were keeping everything on track. Crystal Plantation is a very beautiful venue where you get all the bells and whistles for your wedding at a very reasonable price. It saved us so much time and stress by booking with a venue that included so much in the price (food, alcohol, cake, dj). The staff is just as amazing as Donnie, our personal hostess made sure that we had a drink in our hand as well as anything else we needed through the night. The DJ was extremely nice and played the music we requested and kept the guests on their feet. the day of the wedding as I sit in the limo all alone waiting for the moment I get to step out and walk down the aisle Donnie comes out and makes sure everything is okay with me. Once I was inside the doors Donnie personally fixed my train and made surer it was perfect as I began my way down the aisle. After the ceremony he came up to me and the groom and asked if we needed a drink or anything as he knew we would be tied up with pictures for a while. He and his staff set up everything before and packed everything up after and had it all ready to go. Knowing we didn't get much time to eat they sent us home with a platter of food in which we enjoyed at the hotel. I would highly recommend The Crystal Plantation to any bride on any budget. READ THIS IS YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A VENUE FOR YOUR WEDDING: The team, the venue, the music, the food, the ambiance were all amazing. But the true shining star of this place is its owner Diego. He is just FANTASTIC and so passionately dedicated to his events. You have no clue what to do in the venue? He will guide you through the process of how it works, how it can work and give you great ideas. They have many options for decorating, or you can go like me and leave it super simple and the venue still looked beautiful. I mean, who has a ton of blue roses available? Diego does. Don't sleep on this place, it's beautiful, the food is delicious because Diego will tell you that is important, the open bar served all kinds of drinks, including frozen margaritas and DJ 2Nyce was awesome. I have to say my taste in processionals and dances is off the wall and he got the songs I wanted and played them on que. Also the place comes with a cake credit, use it. You have to order with certain vendors and I ordered my cake super late, I almost did not use the credit because I forgot and I am so glad that Diego reminded me of it because my cake came out so great. We got the 360 camera add on and everyone had a great time taking videos. Had my wedding here in February 2017 and Donnie and his staff exceeded my expectations, especially since it was budget friendly. I work in Kenner and anytime I just popped up with or emailed a question Donnie was always willing to help me. Donnie went out of his way to assure that everything on my day would go well and it did! I was a little skeptical about how things would look because some of the decor is a little dated and cannot be removed but when my decorator added her touch (and the old carpet on the stairs was updated right before my wedding, I was soooo happy!) the venue was beautiful! The day before I was able to drop off things that I wanted added to the space and Donnie and his staff were willing to set it up to my liking. The day of my decorator had to be accomodated due to her schedule and Donnie worked it all out with her. When i arrived I was very pleased. My attendant (I wish I could remember his name) was so awesome I went back the following Monday to leave his tip. I honestly don't know how the food was because I didn't eat, much to my attendant's chagrin as he tried to remind myself and my husband that we needed to eat; he did reassure us that when we were ready there would be food waiting on us in our area and made sure our cups stayed full. I was told that the food, drinks, and staff were all favorable. When I went back to leave the tip, Donnie made sure I left with the rest of the wedding cake we forgot, including the top of the cake I needed to freeze!
