uBreakiFix - Phone and Computer Repair — Attraction in Kennesaw

So extremely happy I ended up coming here to see if they could fix my iPhone XS.

After water had gotten into the part of my phone where the screen was popping off a tinsy bit, my whole screen started glitching and eventually stopped working entirely. No matter what I tried I could not turn it back on. This made my heart break knowing that my phone had not been backed up in a while. I had so many photos, contacts, and overall information I did not want to lose. I decided it was time to get a new phone anyways, but I still wanted to find any way to save the data so I could transfer it to a new iPhone.

I went to 3 other places to see if they could salvage my XS enough so I could save my data. I didn't need it to be in perfect condition, just the ability to turn it back on so I could transfer everything to my new phone. Each place I went to said there was nothing they could do. Geek Squad suggested we just go to an Apple Store assuming they would know best.

After reserving a time and driving an hour to the nearest Apple Store, I spoke to one of the workers explaining the issue. They said they would have someone look at it, and if they could repair it, it would be anywhere from $200 - $300. After the person came to collect my iPhone XS to check it out, in less than 10 minutes, she came back saying there was an issue with the inner logic board resulting in them saying there was absolutely nothing they could do to get it working again. Following up with a suggestion of getting one of the new iPhones. I was devasted, genuinely convince that I lost everything.

The next day I decided to try seeing what uBreakiFix would say because an employee at AT&T recommended them. Plus I didn't really trust Apple. As soon as I walked into the store, no reservation needed to be made prior, I explained everything to one of the employee's, Morgan. He right away asked me to take out my phone, and plugged it in. He said it was still pulling power, so there was definitely something he could do. In only one day, he was able to replace my screen and have my phone operating again with all my data still there! There were other issues with my phone, but he listened to exactly what I wanted, just repairing it enough to be functional. Totaling to around $150, which for me was completely worth it to save all my precious memories. So not only would I 1000000% recommend uBreakiFix, but also always making sure your phone is always backed up lol. When I picked up my phone, there was another customer there, who felt the exact same way I did. Her phone recently broke and she was so sad about all her pictures, but uBreakiFix was able to repair hers as well. We were both so happy :) Also uBreakiFix has such a wide variety of devices they repair, it's impressive.

If you're ever unsure whether your device is actually able to be saved, GO HERE FIRST!!! And don't trust Apple... they just want your money. I now love love loveee uBreakiFix, and thanks again to Morgan for being so nice and...

Unfortunately this would have been a 5 star review. The company was sent out by Asurion to fix my cell phone. The tech showed up on time and fixed my phone with no issue. When the tech was leaving my home, he advised me that I would be getting an added home electronic protection plan for $25 a month but that the first month was free. I told him I did not want the added service or fee added to my cell phone bill. He told me they give all of their customers the service automatically and that if I do not want to be charged for it to call and cancel it in the next 30 days. I again told him I did not want the service, that I already have a similar service I pay for though my home insurance and that I thought it was crazy that a company makes you get a service that you do not want and then are forced to have to remember to cancel within the next 30 days when you never even wanted it. He agreed that he didn't understand why they did that either, but didn't have any other solution for me other than to call and cancel within 30 days. Immediately after he left, I picked up the phone and called Asurion the insurance company linked to my cell phone claim. After sitting on the phone between Asurion and my cellphone provider for over an hour I was finally able to get it cancelled. I was also told (what I obviously already knew) that it was not free for the first 30 days, but just prorated and that the tech has to get consent via a signature or clicking a consent opt in button (no-one could give me a clear answer on which one was needed and obviously forged) in order to add it to a customers account and that the tech gets bonuses for every sign up they get. I then contacted the tech directly who actually told me he was trained by the company to sign everyone up! So I contacted UbreakiFix which is the company commissioned by Asurion to fix my phone to let them know the entire story and that their tech signed me up without my consent. After having to literally convince the manager of the store that this was wrong practices, he offered to talk with his Regional Manager about the issue. He then did call back (Not the Regional Manager) assuring me that they would be implementing new training to their tech teams. New Training!!! I'm writing this review to make sure if you use UBreakIFix that you check your cell phone bill for added charges. I am pretty positive if this is what they were training all of their techs to do that I am not the only one this has happened to. HORRIBLE!!!! NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD! Take your technology elsewhere. I brought my sons phone to this shop to get fixed on Sunday. The screen on the phone was black I was told it probably needs a new screen and that it would be ready the next day which was Monday. After waiting all day I decided to call and they said they were busy and didn't even look at the phone. They would try again the next day. I didn't hear back from them until Wednesday at 6:45 pm. They emailed, texted, and called to confirm that I still wanted to phone fixed....which I did, they told me okay "IT WAS FIXED AND READY TO PICK UP." The only problem was they were about to close at 7pm. I said okay I can pick it up Thursday. I arrive Thursday to pick up the phone and I was told something else may be wrong with the phone. An hour later still waiting for the phone that is "fixed" I was told they fixed the screen but something may be wrong with the front camera. I said just give me the phone its for a child they will be okay without a front camera. They hand me the phone and I try to turn it on and it is still a black screen. I asked the technician why the screen was still black? I was told the screen was fixed and that the phone was working. His response was oh we put the old screen back on. So why would someone call and tell me that the phone is ready when it is clearly not? You have had the phone for 4 days put on a new screen only to take it off and put on the old screen? His response is yes that is exactly what they did. I don't know what type of scam operation they are running there but BEWARE!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR...
