Found this place on google for things to do while in Somerset, and was not disappointed. The location is free with an appointment. Arrived, and no sooner they opened the doors for us and welcomed us inside. The owner, and his father are very knowledgeable on Cryptids and paranormal creatures. The owner expressed interest in Bigfoot festivals so it’s a good place to go learn about that if interested.

Overall, lovely building, friendly and knowledgeable owners, great gift shop and even better story telling. If you’re in the area, it’s a cool place to go to learn about local lore and legends.

Content: • Mothman • Bigfoot • Aliens • Goblins • Nazi SS flying saucer • Wendigo • Pope Lich Monster • Lake Monster • Ghost Face • Jason Vorhees (with movie items) • Chucky (Child’s Play) • Many More

Giftshop includes: • Mothman statues, stuffies and shirts. • rows of stickers • Keychains and Lanyards • 3 spinning shelves of horror movie and legend shirts • Tin Signs • Plaster Casts of bigfoots footprint • Stuffies • Horror themed purses • Vials and Potions • Samples of ‘Vampire’ Hair

Tons to look at, if you’re a fan of horror, paranormal, supernatural and history, you’ll want to spend hours here. Owners, if you read this, we thank you again, and we hope you can keep expanding and that your gallery gets the attention...

This whole experience was incredible. The vast collection along with the amount of information Zach has and was able to give us was incredible.

We were immediately greeted with excitement and interest of what we might want to discuss. And then were led through such a vast variety of topics, from horror movies, to cryptids and sightings, to cursed items. The amount of information Zach has on all these topics was Fantastic and wildly interesting to hear. His fascination and excitement for all that he has is clear and it was such a pleasure getting to discuss all of these things with him. He tailors the tour to both the interests of him and the groups but also to interesting facts, sitings, and horror movie information from the states that the groups are from.

And even well after the tour is over, he was still very kind as to answer the many many questions we had about all of the other things he has around the rooms. I'm sure I could have stayed there for many more hours than we did.

I will absolutely be back again to see how he continues to...

This family owned, Somerset, Ky TREASURE was so much fun! From the collection of awesome stories and folklore, accompanied with a very unique collection of horror movie items. Memorabilia and artifacts obtained from their paranormal explorations, the displays, each with their own informational plaque.... the gift shop has something adorable for everyone. Sage kits, crystals, horror plushies & t-shirts, keychains, pins & magnets. I love it. The gift shop honestly reminds me of the things I buy at Spirit Halloween every year (just the cool stuff they keep at the registers), BUT MORE! It is definitely worth making the appointment and checking it out.

I would personally visit them often if they had the gallery & gift shop open for walk ins. I know LOTS of others would tol if they knew it was there. Just sayin... :-)

10 out of 10. It's all the creepy-spooky- gothy-ghosty-other worldy things that my family loves! If you haven't been, you're...

The free guided tour with Zach was an enthralling way to spend our evening in Southern Kentucky. The gallery’s archive of cryptid, horror, and thriller memorabilia was impressive and quite large for a private collection. Each item had a plaque with historical relevance and unique story to how it ended up in the museum. Zach had a charming and fresh take on familiar and new myths, many originating from “The Bluegrass Triangle.” He was informative and the tour was interactive, questions welcomed and answered. Each story Zach shares transports you to the event/haunting/report like you are listening to a first hand account, or a story handed down by wiser generations. An Appalachian-Lore-Lover’s dream! If you are in the Lake Cumberland area and have a love for the strange, scary, or unknown; the Paranormal Roadtripper’s Nightmare Gallery is a must-see, be sure to reserve your tour in advance.

Amazing place with great legions, both well known and lesser known. Myself and my family only visited briefly as a part of a road trip, but I’m definitely hoping we can fit it into our future trips down in Kentucky. I’ve always been a fan of unusual stories, and horror is a favorite genre, but this place simply blew me away. The stories and explanations on history were very well told and very captivating. As a fellow story teller, I’m almost jealous of how well it was put together. And for parents or those with wallets, the gift shop is beyond affordable. I myself got an adorable Plague Doctor plushie, but there were so many other adorable trinkets, dolls, necklaces, shirts, etc. that I almost couldn't choose from. If spooky, history, or aliens are your thing, I would definitely suggest putting this place as first priority!
