Mariachi Taquería & Restaurant — Restaurant in Somerset

This new place took over my top favorite Mexican restaurant spot last week. The old place (couple towns from Somerset) had held the title for over 15 years. The flavor of the food here is AMAZING. Best cheese sauce and guacamole I’ve ever had (yes, I know it’s usually always the same). The salsa bar is now necessary for me. Love the pickled onions and carrot/cucumber/onion mix as well. The staff are all super helpful, kind, and very quick. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and homey. Decor is beautiful. I saw things there like what my grandmother used to bring back from trips in the semi with my grandpa when they’d go shopping in Mexico, and it took me back to such a special place. ❤️ We had the fajita chimichangas and churros with ice cream and Jamaica Fresca for dessert. All of it was just perfect! I thought I found my new favorite place but today, after my experience, sadly my view has changed. I have had carryout at least 2 to 3 times a week since they opened and I must say the food has been good. My co.plainy is in the way the situation was handled when addressing a question about a price that differs from online and I can accept that however what I can NOT accept is the way in person it was addressed like no respect to a customer that is paying and has never once complained, we spend money here gladly and was a big fan. I will update if this is rectified and I hope that it will be because they are new We did try to reach JOSE who is the best ever but he was not available or not there. Please do better which I have faith you will fix this. Juat to add, the lady reached into a dirty trash can to dig recept out and then touch the menu to show price and with an attitude. Mariachi has such delicious food and excellent service! If you are looking for more authentic Mexican food with great flavors, this is the place for you. The restaurant is clean with nice decor. The staff are so friendly and helpful if you want to try new things. They have a salsa bar and so many tasty food options. I love me some good nachos and usually get their Nachos Deluxe, but also really enjoy their fajitas and quesadillas. My husband loves their Pollo Cancun and the street tacos.
