Was super excited to try this place out today with our 3 year old. They had an Easter event going on which was super cute, eggs and an employee was dressed up as the Easter bunny having fun with the kids.
Why I gave it 1 star? Lack of cleanliness. This place needs to be deep cleaned and then continued to be deep cleaned on a weekly basis. There was long black/brown hair everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE. All over in the ball pit area.. stuck to balls.. stuck even in some of the toys up in the air. Just gross. Even areas of the toys like the vanity area⊠the surfaces were visibly dirty with little kid boogers/finger prints. We got there right as they opened so this was not from the day we were there and the traffic of that day. Super disappointing⊠my child is in daycare so Iâm not a germ freak, but this totally creeped me out.
Upkeep of the toys just isnât being done or even upkeep at the place. Lots of toys broken and taped back together. The door seal on the back door in the block area is ripped out of the door just hanging there.. toys are broken and taped back together or just broken/missing pieces. I get that with places like this that happens, but I used to frequent Curious Kids Museum in Saint Joe, MI and never have noticed anything in the condition of this place
There just really isnât that much to do, itâs pretty small in all honestyâŠ
The slides are dangerous. Like really dangerous. Even for older kids. Right when we got there two smaller kids went down the green slides and both smacked their heads at the bottom and ended up in full blown tears. My daughter is a scaredy cat so that was enough for her to not be interested in trying⊠which thank goodness because I didnât want her going down them. Honestly not many kids use these slides I think because of this.. I watched a few other kids go down and experience a similar experience and not return to them.. there is one other slide that is much better, but still super slippery so you have...
Read moreA totally honest review: Our son (almost 5) had a blast. Everything is close enough together that he could play independently. It was very clean, and there was so much to do. It's not as big as it seems in photos, but that's nice in part because you don't have to chase your kids the whole time.
However, there are a lot of places you CAN'T chase them. We saw multiple parents looking for their kids and unable to find them, and we had a hard time keeping an eye on ours. That's OK if yours is a little older, but be warned!
My main issue, to be honest, was the lack of stamping. There didn't seem to be any method of making sure our child didn't leave with someone else. The gate was very casually opened and closed whenever anyone stood by them. I really hope this tightens up in the future, because paired with the out-of-sight points, it becomes a safety concern.
There's also very little room at check-in, and you have to exit the play area to go the cafe, so we didn't try this time.
The bathrooms (love the sandals) were great. Bonus points for the princess dress-up room, LEGO center, grocery store and kitchen. Brave souls for having loose toys, and the kids loved them.
There did seem to be some kind of conflict happening tonight. Lots of cops. But it seemed like an argument between parents vs. a kid being lost.
We were avid Catch Air visitors, and we'll be back. Our son had too much fun not to. But I hope to see some of these things updated and I'll update this review...
Read moreThis is a definite win for us. We visited today for the first time and LOVED it. There were so many climbing areas and slides with a huge ball pit (no more than a foot deep) in the middle. It felt very clean and just big enough without it feeling crammed and/or overwhelming. The staff were also very nice. My daughter loved the âPrincess Areaâ where she put on a ball gown and wore it the rest of the time she played.Thereâs interactive screens, a science area, jumbo blocks, legos, a bounce area and various interactive games that made it more inclusive for a wider range of kiddos. The best part is that it is affordable (in comparison to other bounce/indoor play places around the city). It was $18 for me and my daughter which was nice as a lot of places charge the adults as well. I ordered my daughter a slice of pizza, mozzarella sticks and a juice box for $9. They offer a good amount of snacks and food including fresh fruit which I thought was really great.
I seriously canât recommend this place enough. We were there for a little over 2 hours and I still feel like there were little nooks in the play area that we didnât get to which I love because we will...
