Have always loved the facilities at The Crock but will not be going back. Went to the pool with friends and the rudest lifegaurd was on duty. It takes alot for me to write a bad review on anything but I believe this one is warranted. I am a 40ish woman that follows the rules and knows how to swim. I've also been a lifeguard. This lifegaurd that day decided to whistle at me and bark orders for reasons that I am unaware except that maybe she didn't like my looks. She was rude and continued this process throughout the day as she changed posts. I was upset so I watched her for a bit and she acted this way toward alot of kids as well. I noticed one boy seemed scared when she treated him that way and he didn't go back in the water. This boy had also done nothing wrong. I know they are there for our safety but people have to be able to enjoy their time there as well. That was not an enjoyable experience. The other lifegaurds were great! Watching out for everyone and being nice and kind in the...
Read moreI love working out here and used to love bringing my children here to swim. With that being said their lifeguards are not on the same page. One female lifeguard told me and my son it was okay to pass under the rope that seperates the slides from the other part of the pools. Then some other male lifeguard who I is way overzealous at his job blew his whistle aggressively and yelled at my son to not go under the rope but to exit the pool from the steps. That I’m okay with but when he and his cohort with the red dyed hair yelled at the top of their lungs at him to stop running when he was only walking; ruined our whole time. We spent $42 to get all of us in only for our good time to be ruined by a teenager with a power trip. Will return to work out but will not be back to swim. Find a friend with a pool or go to the Olympic pool....
Read moreIf you pay for a membership to play basketball be prepared to be run out of the gym for every single class and made up sports program they can think of to displace paying members and squeeze more money out of the community. The love to turn the lights out 10 to 15 minutes early on kids who are playing basketball on Sundays during open gym also, which is rude and inconsiderate. On Saturday's during the meat of the day you can hear the loud bangs of soccerballs hitting the windows inside the gym because they cleverly play an outdoor sport in a basketball court, yet again displacing basketball players. Too bad the sport of basketball can't be played on the soccer fields outside. Update: Raised my family rate $30 dollars and then closed the facility on Sunday. ...
