It’s a good sized thrift store and it’s organized to an extent. It is a bit cluttered, but not too bad. It’s important to note before you shop here that they DO NOT have dressing rooms. They do have restrooms, but they are disgusting.
Unfortunately, like every other thrift store nowadays, the prices are ridiculous. I went in today and saw a shirt they were selling for $10.99. The original price tag on the shirt, which you could buy new at Walmart, was $9.98. There was a pair of socks that were a result of a kid’s failed art project for $1.99. They were painted with hardening paint, which means they were crunchy unusable trash. The cost of the socks new at Walmart (same brand)? $1.00. A twin sized comforter was being sold for $17.99 and it was stained yellow with cigarette burns throughout. The men’s section also had stained shirts upwards of $15.00 and heavily used shoes for over $20.00.
As far as employees, I haven’t met anyone yet who wasn’t friendly. I’d only come back here on the 50% off everything days, but I have no doubt they up the prices on everything before they open. It’s definitely noticeable that they pull all the colored tags of the day off the shelves beforehand anyway.
Update with more pictures: They don’t even care anymore. They don’t bother ripping off the original item’s tag that is LESS THAN what Texas Thrift is selling it for. I picked up the same product in the same condition with a $2 difference, both more than the original price tag that will still on it.
08/11/2024: Last and Final Update
I was in the area, so I decided to try one last time. Never coming back. The prices got worse. It’s absolutely hysterical. $27 for a pair of jeans. $13 for some running shorts that sold at DD’s Closet for $5. This place shouldn’t even be considered a thrift...
Read moreI had a very horrible situation at this store, I had 2 years coming in different times I was considering myself as a good costumer, always buying a lot of stuff but today was so bad. Apparently they have a new policy that is not “big bags at the store” so I asked in the front door to please leave my purse in the floor because it can’t go in there so I explained that was my purse and that I had my wallet, phone and personal stuff in so anyway I tried to follow the new rules and I decided to bring my purse to my car and just carried my wallet and phone with me on my hands… when I came back another lady just in front of me was wearing a backpack even bigger than my purse and the lady on the front door didn’t say anything. I decided to speak because I don’t like when isn’t equal and when they apply the rules just to some, so what was the difference? When I asked the woman why she was just applying the rules on me and not on others and I mentioned that this was discrimination she said she will call her supervisor which I agreed on that the manager listened, but he was keeping thinking that I was complaining about the bag which I wasn’t the issue was not applying the policies to everyone , I own a businesses including an store and I know rules and policies are important, the problem is when you don’t apply them equally and you just create a conflict. So at the end he just said that mine was a bag and the backpack for them is considered a purse. This is totally discrimination. I won’t be back tho this store and I will always share this bad experience as much as I can because it’s not fair and people...
Read moreI have been coming here for the past 1 1/2 years, the staff are all super friendly and I’ve never had an issue with them. The store is pretty organized but can definitely be cluttered at times. The bathrooms are horrible, wouldn’t recommend using them. They recently did some upgrades/remodeling and added “self-checkouts” and I put them in quotations because they are not SELF checkouts. You stand there awkwardly with your buggy while an employee has to scan everything and you have to bag everything. Like what was the point of adding 8+ self checkouts if you still have to wait for an employee to scan your items. I also think they put them way to close to the front door so it’s very crowded, there’s like 3 feet between the front door and back of the machines. And you just leave the buggy in front of the exit doors because you’d have to go all the way back around to put it back into the buggy stall. Now the prices are very hit or miss, sometimes it’s normal thrift store prices and sometimes it’s outrageous prices. $0.49 for a kids Disney bowl (Great), $6-$12 for a stuffed animal (bad) $10 for a used kids jacket (ridiculous) even $4 for a used toddlers Walmart shirt that cost $3.98 at Walmart. And they have a “new” policy about no big bags that is not consistent. The lady at the front who knows my face now was like “that’s a pretty big bag isn’t it” and it’s the same bag I have brought in everyday for the past 1 1/2 years, I just said nope it’s a normal average sized purse (which it is) and kept walking, I’ve seen people with full sized backpacks walk in and nothing...
