Southland Shopping Center — Attraction in Kingsport

I've only been here a few times to use the restroom, get something to drink, and get gas. The ladies' bathroom isn't always the cleanest, but it is convenient when there's nothing near to it open a d one really needs to go. The layout is typical to that of a normal Zoomers and like most gas stations, everything is pretty pricey if one compares those prices to planning ahead and shopping at the grocery store or better yet and even cheaper shopping online. I do think most staff I've encountered are pretty decently trained and seemingly nice. The parking is limited though there are several pumps there considering. As far as the location goes, that does seem like a pretty good spot, being at the intersection of two of the busiest streets in Kingsport. I have been a dedicated Food City shopper for 18+ years. They have everything you need here to include fresh sushi which is made daily and can be made to order. The staff is always very friendly and are always more then willing to help you find the items you are looking for. They have their own butchers there in the store and the meat is cut on premises, which is a rarity these days. They will also do special cuts for you. If you are new to town and looking for a place to do your grocery shopping this is the place for you. I recommend that you become a Food City Club Member, which you can do at the register. The reason is you will not only save money on your groceries, but once you accumulate enough points you can save $.15 per gallon on gas, on Wednesday it jumps to .$30 per gallon. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the Big Lots store. When you're out there looking for something you're in need of, like we were, you tend to use the stores restrooms wherever you are but walking through the bathroom here in Big Lots and seeing things like this and even a cockroach in the floor you're not going to buy anything from anywhere in the store. While out looking for the new living room sets for our home and stopping by just to grab a few things of food and medicine we definitely decided that we were not buying anything at all from the store.
