My sister in law went to college in Taiwan and tried to find good bubble tea while theyâre on vacation here in Washington. After visiting more than 7 authentic bubble tea places that our friends recommended, they finally found the best one; Donât Yell At Me. They donât want to go to other places anymore. Donât Yell At Me boba taste was amazing. They can taste the fresh tea, the milk and the golden boba perfectly balanced in a big bubble tea cup. My sister in law and I wanted to order the Osmanthus Jasmine Milk tea but theyâre out of it so we got the original milk tea and rose milk tea. We all fell in love with them. We look forward to come back to get the Osmanthus one. There are only two employees that saw working on Wednesday, April 27 when weâre there last time. But they made an amazing drinks. The lady who made it and doing the cashier were very professional. Sheâs nice and passionate about selling the teas that theyâre selling. She said that they are using the best ingredients, organic milk, the teas are brewed freshly every couple of hours. No wonder itâs amazing.
I visited this place a month ago drinking Osmanthus Jasmine tea and the taste is also amazing. The lady who worked there also explained about the tea passionately. Itâs really a good sign that the people who work there believe in their own products.
Why not giving a 5 star reviews? Because when we come back two days later, we ordered a to go bubble teas. Two original ones, and one tiramisu one. Somehow, the taste is off. Itâs not the amazing taste that we had before. We didnât change anything on the original ones but the taste is not as good as before. We donât know if itâs the hands who made it, or the tea is slightly different when itâs made. There were 1 guy and two girls who were working that Friday. Different gal who we met last Wednesday. They are all nice but too bad the taste is not as good. At Donât Yell At Me, they posted something that said something like, âIf you donât like the drink, we will make it right for youâ. Something like that. They are so nice for doing that. We wish we could come back and tell you guys that the taste is off. But we traveled for 6 miles just to get Donât Yell At Me bubble tea to go bringing our 3 toddlers staying in the car with us.
Donât Yell At Me, you guys are doing a great job at making amazing bubble teas. But you are even better if the amazing taste...
Read moreTL;DR: look at menu online ahead of time before going in. Don't get 100% sweetness.
Parking: shared surrounding lot or parking garage.
Atmosphere: cafe-like setting but the place is more narrow than it is wide.
Menu: free standing text menu when you first walk in and also posted next to the register on the table. Best to look at the menu online before going in since it's very wordy. That way you aren't standing at the register for a long time pondering what you want while people behind you wait. Maybe that's why the place is called, "Don't yell at me", haha. The cups are a bit on the tall and slender side so if you get a drink with ice in it, I suggest you request less ice or just go with a blended beverage.
Service: order and pay at the register, wait for your number to be called by a robot voice, pick up at the left of the counter.
Props to the cashier for recommending 50% sweetness and letting me know that the Pink Lychee Smoothie was really sweet. 50% was just the right amount of sweetness and tang.
Pink Lychee Smoothie with Cheese Foam: The cheese foam is really creamy and tasty! It's a tad on the salty side but if you swirl it around in the drink it's perfect. The lychee smoothie itself is very tasty and refreshing -- it even has bits of the lychee fruit in there for you to nibble on!
Golden Honey Pearl Topping: lightly sweetened and delightfully chewy. It has a hint of honey for your first few sips but it fades away as your drink mixes around more. The texture is still...

Interior Atmosphere - 9.5/10 Big win on the open spacing, interesting selection of various seating spaces. LOVE the wall âDonât Yell At Meâ (totally a photo op place!) The selection of calming music beats the pop/rap selections you often hear at other bubble tea places which can be pretty nerve wracking when youâre trying to have tea and general chit chat with friendsâŠ
Menu Choices - 9/10 Decent amount of teas and yummies to choose from. Again, with me.. less is better, less is more. Easier to decide and less wasted time spent on deciding what to order when I can spend more time enjoying the items I ordered đ„°
Food Quality vs Pricing - 9/10 Considering many bubble teas in Vancouver BC Canada can already cost an arm, leg and kidney.. I think this place offers a decent pricing on some of the tea selection.. having been in this âfieldâ many years ago.. I can definitely sniff out the types of tea and compare it to their actual value!
Would totally come back the next time I visit Seattle again! Not to mention, itâs great supporting M.I.T. places like...
