We did a tour today and have done one in the past. The young man that did the tour didn't know most of what we asked him, however the previous tour in 2018 was phenomenal. He made fun of questions and mostly said, " I don't know". On our last tour we were taught a lot about the temple and the designer and the builders. Adric skipped most of the info we got in a previous tour. He said the builders weren't very smart. We brought family here knowing our last tour was excellent. This your was terrible, honestly felt like I was listening to a teenager try and make jokes for attention. Please find someone else to do tours . He made fun of the people, the actual history, and made inappropriate jokes. Terrible experience. However, we had a leader or older gentlemen on our tour in 2017 that...

This is another tour that you will want to take if you are a fan of early LDS history. You get to learn about the history of the early church and of the special things which happened there in the Kirtland temple. There is a $5 fee for the temple tour. It's worth it though. When the tour groups are over 20 people they can't go into the 3rd floor because of building code regulations. But, if you hang back and ask the guild will take you up there as long as it's below 20 people. If you have large groups they can break it up into smaller groups if you ask. The building is owned by The Community of Christ church, with the pretour film and museum both reflect...

The Kirtland Temple and surrounding area was one of my favorite places to visit while living in Ohio. A 4-5 hour drive was well worth the effort. The Kirtland Temple is a marvelous building to explore and learn about its history! I look forward to visiting my next trip back to Ohio! You can't go wrong adding this place to your vacation discoveries. I haven't yet mentioned the Community of Christ visitors Center. I am in awe of the Temple's beauty when they draw back the curtain to reveal the beautiful and sacred Kirtland Temple! Just off Interstate 90 on, I believe Route 106, just East off Cleveland, Ohio. Go, and enjoy...

Visiting the Kirtland Ohio Temple was a truly inspiring experience! It’s amazing to see such a beautiful building, constructed by the early Saints in the 1830s despite their poverty and lack of experience. Most of the temple remains in its original condition and is still remarkably sturdy. I really enjoyed the brief tour, singing a hymn while sitting in the historic pews, and hearing about the significant events that took place there. The sense of history and reverence in the temple is unforgettable. Highly recommend a visit!

Tour guides took us all the way to the third floor and explained much of the architecture and history of the temple. They also focused on the spiritual events that happened at the dedication. They pointed out that although the temple is not currently in use for religious practices it was never undedicated so it is still the house of the Lord and there's still a special feeling when we enter there. Grounds are beautiful and the temple is well maintained yet still mostly in its original state.

Outstanding experiences and recounting of awesome manifestations in this sacred edifice, the Kirtland Temple. Members of the Church, before visiting Kirtland should first read the book, THE SAVIOR IN KIRTLAND by Karl Ricks Anderson. By so doing, your temple tour will be 20X richer. Most members of the Church have no idea the extent of the many sacred experiences hundreds of people had in the temple.
