My trip to Crater Lake was made so comfortable, risk-free, and delightful by Crater Lake Trolly. I had a hard time finding a rental car in Kalamath falls. Crater lake trolley was the only public transit available in town. I was already grateful that they are there for someone like me. As soon as I got to their office, I knew I was at the right place. The front desk was super friendly and helpful (sorry I forgot to ask your name!) She kindly offered me a mocha while I was waiting for the shuttle. The shuttle driver (I forgot your name as well lol) was so kind to all of us. We chatted along the way back and forth to the mountain. It was an hour ride but it felt like a blink. I learned so much before I reached the lake. Definitely consider taking the trolley before renting a car! It would be so much more fun! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and humorous as well. I was so, so happy about my decision to take the shuttle up there to the lake and join a...

So we came from WA on the Amtrak train for one day to take this tour. We did not rent a car. We had some confusion on shuttle service from Klamath Falls upto Crater Lake for the tour. When we arrived at the Crater Lake Trolley office there was (is) no shuttle. To be clear, their website clearly states this. However there is a different website which gives incorrect information... We were disappointed that we may be spending the day in our hotel room, as we did not have any transportation. When I explained our circumstances the owner discussed this with his staff and one of their office personnel drove us all the way from Klamath Falls up to Crater Lake so we could still take the Trolley tour! Then at the end of their long work day they drove us all the way back to our hotel. We can't give enough gratitude and praise for this company and their staff.

Read moreI went on the trolley while touring Crater Lake. It was a pleasant and comfortable ride with the ranger's narration. We had a great ranger who was on his first day. Jeff did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable about the lake and its environment. However, I did throw a monkey wrench in the plans- I have severe asthma. I live in Phoenix, which about 1,000 feet above sea level. Crater Lake's elevation is about 7,500 feet above sea level- a drastic change for a flatlander asthmatic. I had an asthma attack, and the paramedics were called. Jeff did a great job of calming me down and the rangers checked me out, giving me a clean bill of health after my rescue inhaler kicked in. I continued the tour, staying in the trolley. Overall, it was a great trip and I am thankful for the paramedics' quick response and Jeff's...
