Defy Escapes — Attraction in Knoxville

A++++. My wife, daughter (age 15) and i have done over 75 rooms and this is one of the best weve done. We went in for one room, and ended up doing all 3! The rooms were diverse and unique and the staff were exceptional. Their passion for escape rooms really came through. I cant recommend this place enough.

We were traveling through Knoxville on a roadtrip from Florida, but will definitely make another trip when then finish the two new rooms they are building!

Puzzles A+: the puzzles were very creatice and well done, and we especially liked how non-linear the rooms were, especially midnight monster madness.

Technology A: the technology of some of the puzzles rivals the big chains. Everything worked smoothly.

Atmosphere A: the rooms were incredibly well themed and had a terrific design

My wife and I have done more that 65 escape rooms (yes its an obsession) and this was great experience. Due to its location and "lack of commercial footprint" I was not expecting much but everything exceeded my expectation and was top notch. The facility was well lit and clean. They had a nice lobby to stage guests, a Tournament area for DnD / Magic / Warhammer, The Host was personable and passionate with the intro talk, getting us into the room quickly. We did Reeltime Rentals and it was everything i would have wanted it to be. As a child of the 80's i spent alot of time in rental stores on Friday night picking the "family movie" and the Decor was like stepping back to that era. The puzzles were challenging but well thought out and insightful and the game master was actually monitoring our progress giving us the right amount of nudge with out spelling out the solve. We were driving through Knoxville and decided to try out Defy Escapes. We needed to stretch our legs (long road trip) and booked all 3 of their rooms. And after playing them, I can honestly not say which is their best room to recommend. And the reason is, they are ALL AMAZING! We had a great time in each experience. The rooms are very immersive, the puzzles are creative and unique, and most importantly, the customer service is top notch. You can tell there is a passion for escape rooms here and that conveys into every aspect that is required to provide a top notch experience.
