Waffle House — Restaurant in Tennessee

Ok. We walked in to find one couple quietly in a booth. All the other tables were full except one so we sat there, keep in mind all the staff was sitting on the stools talking and counting tips or on the phone or talking to each other. One finely came and took our order. As he walked off to get our drinks i looked over to see food on the floor cups and silverware as well. Well the cook was not very sanitary. He tried to give me a waffle that he picked up with his bare hands and put on a plate after i saw him wipe his nose down his hand and up his arm sleeve i declined and asked him to take it off our order, the grits were like tar, the eggs were burnt enough with the food the list goes on. The staff were using quite a bit of profanity. The cooks wife came in with their baby to pick him up he carried the 6 month old baby ( i only know the age because the mother was very loud to remind him his child was not 1 yet) any way he picked the baby up and basically put her under his arm at his waist around her belly so the baby was kinda held like a pocket book . When the shift changed a new cook came in he was being extremely rude to one of the waiters and she bluntly said look i dont feel like hearing you running off at the mouth today and being a smart a@÷ to everyone so just stop. He replied go home i dont like you anyway she said we all are aware of that. To beat it all low and behold they tried to over charge us. We had to explain what we ordered to the new cashier. Then oh my my i saw a rat and the cook kicked it across the kitchen and said nasty mother f's. Now i have major diarrhea. A mess. So my thoughts are not professionally incorporated, they do not work as a team, its very very unsanitary, they have rodants for crying out loud,the staff were not at all in no way shape form or fashion appropriate to their job standards. I will not return and i will be contacting the local a b authorities about this so they can do a health check. The corporate office as well. Its a shame because we use to go here a lot now we will never go again. ...

No one spoke to us when we walked in, and it took a good 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. There were only 2 other couples in the whole restaurant. It was about 9:15pm so it was around shift change and the place looked like a mess. There was caked up food all over the counters, waffle makers and grill from the shift before that wasn't cleaned. Maybe the cook was new but he didn't seem to know what was going on and what was needed to be cooked. They called for the manager, idk here name but she had pink hair, to come out and help and she did but she had the worst attitude with her employees. Huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes. She seemed very frustrated because she had to come help. I used to work at this store about 6 years ago and after seeing a cluster of attitude and a dirty store I do not miss that place and it makes me very thankful that I don't have to be treated that way any more or have to deal with rude management when help is needed. It's sad to see nothing has changed and in fact gotten worse. The food was delicious as this is the first time I've ate at waffle house since I left and I would probably eat there more if it weren't for the lack of cleanliness and good customer service. Put people in your store that will take care of your customers and make them feel welcome so they will want to come back. And there's so much down time on 2nd and 3rd shifts there's no reason that store should look as dirty as it was especially at shift change. Do better...

Came here because I wanted Breakfast of course. I was greeted by the Friendly workers Frank and Tiffany. Tiffany had sat me down and asked me immediately if I wanted something to drink. Thank you for letting me bring my Own Drink. She supplied the other half of the lemonade so I could drink an Arnold Palmer. I've only been to a Waffle House two times in my Life, so of Course I had to get Waffles!! I came here because I saw a sign for the pumpkin spice waffles and of course, was interested. Bwahaha. They set me up real good with everything I had asked for- Pumpkin spice Waffles with Some Hashbrowns cooked Extra Crispy and Over Easy-Medium eggs with Sausage and Jelly! Absolutely delicious!! The food was done in Literally 5-7 minutes!! Absolutely fastest service all around, and the Most Hospitable!

The Breakfast was Absolutely Delicious and the Eggs EXACTLY how I wanted them. Same with the Hashbrowns!!

The Bathrooms were also Clean, and It was just So Nice, getting to Relax in Solitude, Meet New People, and Eat Great Food!

It was not Expensive, and I love the Quality! I will be coming back here!
