Tequila Amigos — Restaurant in Knoxville

Great food , outstanding service , and if by chance u happen 2 luv chicken quesadillas as much as I do I would advise trying it 4 urself , so on this really busy night , 2 days before Christmas Eve , my wife and I decided to try this new restaurant and just have a date night just cut lose a bit without the kids and just rekindle our love for each other , so first thought threw the door wow alright they r a bit busy so maybe it might take a bit 2 get our food or might run out of drinks 4 a bit but we really wanted 2 try this place and I was so blown away by the food quality along with the service , we got our drinks almost immediately and then appetizers which the hot wings were amazing only thing with them was being only bone in wings which heck by the taste I could careless amazing , our drinks were nvr empty and literally every 6-8 mins our waitress would be asking if we can get anything else or how is everything , exceptionally restaurant , this almost reminds u of a sports hub but with a family flip 2 it thank you amigos 4 such a wonderful dine in experience and 4 the best food I have ever had , OH and 2 the owner thank you sir for the penguin stocking , hanging on the wall , 😂 since the wife found out my love for penguins , let's just say I have a collection I never "thought ever" I would have🤣🤣 will be definitely coming back and bringing more with us next time oh and don't forget the cheese dip people y'all have gotta try it thank you...

Tequila Amigos is one of the newer Mexican restaurants on the scene in Knoxville. I have eaten at this restraint several times since their opening. Each time I have enjoyed their hospitality and the food was even better. Their complimentary chips and salsa are great and fresh! Their menu selection is pefect! Everyone in the family will find something that they love. Normally I stick with taco salads or chimichangas, but I've been venturing to try different items on their menu. The last dish I had was some chicken and scalps in a red sauce (sorry I can't recall the name of the dish but it was GOOD). Their dessert is awesome, too! I would recommend their churros and ice cream. My son and I shared the dessert and it was very satisfying and yummy!! Now my son asks for that dessert every time we eat there. Tequila Amigos has become our new goto Mexican restaurant when the mood for Mexican food hits us. If you're in Knoxville and hungry for some Mexican food...give them a try. 1st and foremost, I would rate this a 0-star out of 5 if possible, but there must be at least 1 star before a review. With that said the restaurant's table layout and atmosphere is nice, but the food is atrocious. Being a person who has eaten real good Mexican food (used to live in California, so I know what I am saying), what I tasted from this restaurant tasted like dog food. It is a shame because the employees there seem to be Latin (Not sure if they are Mexican or not), which should know how to cook their own kind of food. It seems that those who don't know what good Mexican food taste like are rating this anything beyond 1-star. As free advertisement for a restaurant that is much closer to real Mexican food, I advise going to Cancun Mexican grill & cantina near Kroger on Chapman highway.
