The facility is nice, well layed out and fairly clean. Ive gone there numerous times in the past several years. One issue i have sern is that the employees do not und dr stand enough English to really listen to what you may need or want. The next thing is I always get a 90 minute table massage which runs around 135.00 by the time you pay the fee to use the debit card, which they do charge you. Upon completion I generally tip 20.00$, so that means my total investment of a massage is about155.00. Pricey, yes, but what really hot to me was one day when I was leaving I was literally asked to leave a 25% tip and I was given the same excuse of we only last 2 years with this career because it is so hard on the body. I'm sorry, but that is not true. I've known many who have been in this industry for years. Also, I owned a Nail Salon for 35 years now.in this industry it is generally a 60/40 split..with the 60% going to the massage therapist, so making you feel that you owe them a large tip because they are not paid well is totally not factual. They do offer special oils like peppermint, lavender etc, but I have never smelled them when being massaged, I sort of feel it's just a regular massage oil that is not even used on the body. It's a play to make you feel you are getting more, when you are not. They do offer hot stone massage which varies in time depending on the therapist. The hot stone really helps my muscle relax so I really love it to be used as I am very tense. You might get 2 minutes of stone or you might get 6...it needs to be a consistent amount of time and sometimes is used only on the back, next time might be used on back and feet, next time maybe the calves. Thst should also be consistent. This business is Asian owned and run and I have nothing against the Asian people at all. They are hard workers. I had many employed in my salon for many years. But there are drawbacks, they want you as a salon owner to pay them under the table, they don't want to be an employee where taxes are paid in on their behalf, and they organize to glean each penny from you that can be obtained. I literally got into an educational exchange with the owner that a tip is a gift.. it stands for grutitity..a gift over and above what you pay for service because you did a great job..not something that is owed, nit something that you are obligated to do. I'm not sure I made any headway with my tutorial with her, but she did offer me a 65$ massage after my complaint, which was very legitimate. I was the last client of the day and my 155. Massage was shortchanged in many areas.
I don't mind to pay for what I get, but I do want to get what I pay for! I do not want to be lectured or demeaned over my tipping level, as this has also been an issue in these nail salons as well. We all just need to go by the rules, offer quality for the money we pay and be thankful for the...
Read moreMy Husband had surprised me with a Couple Full Body Massage, and can I just say... "WOW" We had 90 minutes to just relax, decompress, and soak up Tranquility here with Tom and Mary! Absolutely LOVED enjoying my Husbands' company in a Quiet, Non Stressful Massage. Plenty of Parking too! When we first came in, we were a little nervous because we both had Never been to one of these things before. So we didn't really know what to do, or to expect. We got ready, and Tom and Mary came in. I'm currently pregnant so they DID make accommodations for me (they want you to lay on your belly) they give you support pillows until you're "just right". It was hard to tell my Body to relax considering a stranger was touching me. Lol. But after about 10-20 minutes in, I was able to calm fully down and relax. They massaged everywhere. Got all my Muscle Knots in my back and neck out. She also massaged my Calves- Which was AMAZING (which are running rampant with leg cramps right now due to pregnancy. Haha!)
The hand and foot massage were absolutely Spectacular. So firm and yet gentle at the same time! The bathrooms and rooms were super clean!! It smelled fresh and organic there, my Husband and I really liked the experience.
THE HOT ROCKS MADE ME DROOL HAHAHA!! Mary was very professional with asking if I was okay with it before proceeding. My Husband and I were so relaxed that when we were talking later on about it, he had mentioned that he actually fell asleep towards the end for 5-10 minutes... I laughed because I did too! 10/10 would Completely recommend. The head massage was also great. The whole thing... I cannot brag on this place enough! Great people, Great atmosphere! They got us out in time for us to pick up the little guy from the sitter, so they're very punctual. As business owners and parents... WE APPRECIATE THAT!! Thank you so much Mary and Tom! Thanks so...
Read moreI had an entirely avoidable bad experience here and won't return. The lady who provided the massage was good enough that I had halfway considered going back before the billing nightmare started. Here's the Reader's Digest version of what happened:
I called for an appointment for a foot massage - and ONLY a foot massage. I simply wanted to try the service for $30 - which was their lowest price point. The receptionist up-sold me on a longer session that cost more but was actually a better overall value. I was to pay $60.
After the massage I was charged $90; $30 more than we had agreed to. The guy at the desk asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. I told him to add $18 based on the $90 they charged me - so I was billed $108. I own this mistake that I'll never make again. I should have rectified the error on the spot, but I needed to leave and told myself I'd call the next day to get the $30 refunded. Before I could call them, a guy called and told me he was going to refund that $30. But instead of refunding me, he promptly CHARGED ME AGAIN - this time for an additional $60. So we're now up to $168 for what should have been $60 + tip.
Later that day, an unidentified woman called, apologizing profusely for the guy charging me TWICE. She refunded me $90, which leaves me having paid $78.
What should have been a relaxing experience turned out to be anything but, given the hassle factor; too much time wasted with people playing fast and loose with my credit card. I won't even detail the up-selling tactic by the massage therapist once I was...
