The first thing you need to do is forget about those drug-store popcorn tins you get at the holidays. That's not what you're buying here. Proper Popcorn is a completely different category of snack. Sure, it's more expensive, but it's also definitely worth it. First, you will notice that the popcorn pieces themselves are different from most popcorn. They are larger and thicker. To me this does two things. 1) It keeps the entire batch from crushing into little pieces like the cheap stuff does. 2) The greater surface area of the popcorn means you get more flavoring. That part is clutch because that's what makes this popcorn proper. I got sweet and savory flavors and both are excellent. The seasoning is evenly applied without having the effect creating a dust cloud when you open the tin. And the taste is outstanding. When it says bacon cheddar, you taste bacon and cheddar. When it says salt and vinegar... you guessed it, you get them both. It's truly a gourmet snack. There's no other way to look at it. What's also a nice side bonus is that I'm eligible for the one-day standard shipping from UPS, which is crazy because I live in Atlanta and this store is in Knoxville.

I'll admit I was hesitant at the thought of spending this much money on popcorn. I mean, I figured I can get it cheaper at the grocery store. The thing is...after eating it, I realize you can't get this at the grocery store. It's not even right to compare this to Jiffy Pop or whatever brand you want to put in your microwave. You wouldn't make an apples to apples comparison of McDonald's and a steakhouse. Don't make the same mistake here. Take the leap and order this stuff....

All I have to say is WOW. This is a really neat place to come to for a great treat (that is so out of the norm but awesome!) People usually go after dinner or out just for ice cream or frozen yogurt and even now cookie dough, but this is specialty popcorn that they bag right in front of you for what you want. Different sizes and many different flavors to choose from along with nostalgic candy and glass bottle pop! (Soda) They also have other merchandise that is local and beautiful! Forgive me because I'm not good with names, but I believe the owner was there and his brother is the magic maker in the back (classically trained chef come here to make some gourmet popcorn; I'd do it!) Very nice owners and employees especially with the samples which usually places don't like when you ask for samples but these guys wanted you to! Shortened: awesome gourmet popcorn, something different and great owners. Go give them a try!! Oh and the flavors we got were strawberry cheesecake, white chocolate, caramel and cheddar mixed and cherry cordial (seasonal flavor but OH SO GOOD!)...
