I a 17 year old female went to go see the movie Monkey with my also 17 year old boyfriend I had forgotten my Id but my boyfriend had his so I had my mom send me a photo of my id front and back a clearly real id that had the shadow of my mom who was taking the photo of it casted over it. But the manager refused to look at it and proceeded to tell me that AMC theaters has banned pictures of Id as a valid id because of AI which I thought at the time was completely understandable so me and my boyfriend got a refund and drove all the way home which is over 30 minutes away to go get my id we had to repurchase tickets for a later movie as well but when I arrived home I decided to look up the policies on the official AMC website and the policy stated that it was managers discretion that the picture of the id just had to be visible and not blurry along with identifying info like birthday. So not only did the manager lie but also later that night when me and my boyfriend returned as we were getting our tickets scanned by a different sales employee the manager who was doing a completely different task stoped what he was doing to come over with a passive aggressive smile and tone to ask us what movie we were here to see when he obviously already knew that and when we had told him it was the Monkey he said in a passive aggressive “nice” tone that we needed to show id and we both showed our ids and he then became bitter at the fact we actually both had id this time around and went and got our popcorn handed it to us without saying a...
Read moreI love this theater!! Perfect movie ticket price and standard theater seats, it's a wonderful place for a family friendly movie experience. Only reason for the four stars is your staff are stressed and snacks prices are high compared to others. The night we were there was June tenth for the 5:10 Jurassic Park movie. Staff kept sighing and looked really down, as well as a single large soda cost almost as much as a movie ticket. Also slushies are more than a movie ticket and if you do try to get a refill the staff WILL yell at you and will tell you have to pay for another slushy then, that the 8+ dollars you pay originally is for a single cup fill, which officially makes it the most expensive slushy I've ever had. I just threw the cup away. I'm ok with the whole slushy thing, but please treat your staff better and get more people to help them. I've worked fast food so ik the feeling of being highly stressed and overworked for an underpaying job ( bc when I worked there for two years when my pay was minimum wage, before they changed it to the now 15 ) and I'm telling you treating your employees well is the least you can do for them as an employer. It will make a ton of a difference, and can drastically change the mood in a workplace. Other than that it's a good place to go to watch a movie,...
Read moreWe 2 adults saw Napoleon for under 10 dollars. Matinee prices on a cold, windy early winter afternoon. The movie was released about a month earlier, so had passed the first hungry press of " gotta see it" crowds. But we two very busy adults had vowed to see it before it left theaters. Kokomo AMC is our choice theater. We drive over 30 minutes for this classic theater. I'm a lightweight person and like the smaller seats. I am dwarfed by overstuffed reclining seats. My feet don't reach the floor, so I spend the entire time sliding down. Fighting the seating. Can never get comfortable. But Classic movie seating lets me settle in, forget about what I'm sitting on, and get lost in the story. Just like the ad says. Plus, the affordable ticket price didn't empty my pocketbook, which means I can splurge on movie popcorn if desired. Not all of us need, want, or can afford everything to be big, brand new, or booming so loud it hurts our ears. We want to hear when we leave and be able to afford food the rest of the month. But we're still young at heart and love a wonderful movie--which Napolean is. Thanks, Kokomo Classic AMC. I not only got to see the movie, but I, myself, felt my needs had been...
