My first time here, but not my last. My waitress was a genuine pleasure. Polite, helpful, and genuinely made me feel at home. There was a little bit of a wait for our food, but that's because it was Friday and Lent, and there wasn't an empty seat in the house. Her recommendations were spot on. The Chili Verde and shrimp tacos were big and full of flavor. The Buffalo Shrimp appetizer was a meal by itself. The perfect amount of heat and the fries are perfect! The portions are going to fill you up, and give you a little to take home. I had the Camerones Costa Azul, cheese and bacon wrapped shrimp, with rice and beans. So good! The food was excellent. The food far surpasses the service. Let's begin with the Buffalo shrimp, which were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. An excellent take on wings seafood style. The seafood caldon especal was full of flavor, perfectly spices even though it has jalapeño in it bring back a sense of being on the beach. The Capechana was high quality and the delicious. The chef not only an excellent cook but took part of the service. The Michelada base alone is memorable and wanted to buy a gallon of it. Baja Urban is the best seafood restaurant around! The prices are affordable, food quality is on point, and service is second to none. The owners, Iris and Lalo are such humble people and know how to keep customers coming back. We are fortunate to have met them several years ago when they worked at Tecate, the restaurant that used to be here. Now they are the proud owners of Baja Urban and we couldn’t be more proud of them. My fiancé are going to be making the 30 minute drive from Chino Hills when we're craving their food.
