Myself and my wife received absolutely terrible customer service at the print shop at 4670 Johnson St in Lafayette La from @6:30-7pm. The service was so poor that we debated leaving the entire time and returning to speak to a manager. The young lady whom asissted us was completely inhospitable and demonstrated a very bad attitude towards providing customer service. The lady spoke in an extremely low voice, seemed to have significant issues answering any print related questions leading to us feeling uncomfortable to inquire and purchase services. This representative also appeared to struggle badly to engage in any communication.
Myself and my wife were left with the impression that she did not want to be troubled with any work of any sort. When asked to assist with binding of a document she explained her “customer line was getting bigger” essentially saying she was too busy to help us. The two customers that were in line behind us were then helped (during our time at the counter) in a minute or two. Afterwards, we requested the binding service since there was no one in line behind us. It was awkward as the customer service lady appeared distraught with our request.
Following completion of our printwork, we made two transactions and requested receipts. We received them but later noticed that neither were itemized leaving us with no means to check the billing. The latter prompted me to return the next day to acquire the itemized receipts. The service the next day was slightly better but lacked any degree of welcoming. As such, I was left feeling like my request was a nuisance to the print staff. The receipts I did receive were super basic and provided inadequate details on the print services (ie no details on the actual printing service itself such as the cost per page for the paper selected other than a basic total).
I am 52 years of age and encountered one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. There is no possibility of me returning to any office depot in Lafayette again as I believe that the OD team is a reflection of its management. The attitudes of these team members at the Johnson St store are either unknown to management or tolerated by management. Either way I find management to be...
Read moreI went to the self serve copy machine and made seven copies. The machine charged my card, which I verified through my banking app, but no copies came out of the machine. The employee working the print shop was busy, flirting with a customer and had no time for anyone else. As he was copying and laminating her papers, He could’ve easily helped other customers. He stayed in the back of the area with his arms crossed, looking at the other few customers waiting to be served. I walked to the checkout counter and asked the employee there if they could quickly make me my copies that I paid for and I would be on my way. I showed my receipt and she said, you’ll have to go talk to the guy in the print shop. I said that I understand it may ordinarily be his job, but he appears to be really busy with his arms folded so, would she please just quickly go to a copy machine and in 30 seconds, come back with my paid for copies? She then tells me, “ I have stuff to do, sir” To which I responded, “ Waiting on customers is one of them.” She walked to the print shop and ask the guy with his arms folded if he could make copies. His response was, after I finished helping customers. She begrudgingly made my copies, but I will never come back...
Read moreduring the transaction, the screen prompted me to donate to some fund for "urban" small businesses. On the screen there was NO OPTION to decline and say "no thanks". instead the screen was just frozen with four different donation amounts displayed on screen for me to choose from. I just waited and waited for the screen to change so I could complete my transaction,m but it wouldnt. Eventually, the cashier selected "$1" donation so we could move on and complete my purchases, and she said she would "fix it" afterwards. After the transaction was over, she said "than you, have a good day" and never offered to remove my donation. there were customers waiting behind me so I didnt bother with it. But it was terrible the way Office Depot sticks this donation request during the payment transaction and thern makes declining it difficult. Me and the cashier both just stood there waiting for the screen to realize I did not care to donate to this fund, but nothing happened. The transaction only continued after a $1 donation was selected. I'm sure I am not the only one who got swindled that way. DONT GO TO...
