Cast of Crowns Art Collective — Attraction in Laguna Beach

My only apprehension in writing a review for Cast of Crowns is that I may lack the vocabulary to articulate just how absolutely incredible this establishment is. I have spent around 40 hours over the past 4 months being tattooed by Anthony Ianozzi. I'll start with Anthony. You cannot ask for a more consummate professional. He is punctual, extremely knowledgeable, breathtakingly talented, and incredibly welcoming. He is a master of composition and execution, particularly with respect to black and grey realism. I came in with very high expectations, and he has exceeded them at every turn. He (and every other artist) maintains an impeccably clean and sterile work station in which he produces elite caliber art. I just cannot speak highly enough of him and have been honored to spend so much time in his chair. But for me, it's not just Anthony that makes Cast of Crowns what it is. The rest of the crew rounds out the entire experience... Corey, Cierra, Marcus, Desi, Gage, apprentice Joanna... these folks make the experience thoroughly enjoyable. They're all kind, funny, welcoming, and great conversation. The music is awesome. The atmosphere/design is beautiful and upscale. The views of the Pacific are a sight for sore eyes. It is simply a genuinely enjoyable social experience to spend an afternoon (or 8!) in Cast of Crowns. I endorse Cast of Crowns in the strongest possible terms. I didn't have the time to check out upstairs the tattoo space but I cannot wait to get back there with more time and do so and probably book some time! I went there for a piercing and never had one in the past so did not know what to expect I gotta say I was a heavily tattoo'd nervous piercing newbie!! Like I read before I went and like I confirm and saw- this place is top notch! Great atmosphere, top quality, and done just like the website. First spoke to Nicole who was great and got me in as a walk in on a Saturday. She stayed in touch with me via text pretty late on Friday to confirm. She Introduced me to my Piercer Dave who was Awesome!! This guy has so much experience yet he is patient, super cool, super comforting - explained everything to me a few times, always with a smile and patient demeanor, no matter how many questions I had! I had some questions the filling day and texted him at 5pm he got back to me within 5 minutes with the same exact comforting, cool, just amazing guy demeanor! Highly Highly knowledgeable, and Highly comforting and talks to you like a real friend! I really value that!! This guy is really experienced and if you want a place with this many years of knowledge as well as calm your nerves and have Nicole help you in and out with ease - Go see Dave!! AMAZING SHOP! 10/10!! The hospitality, client experience, fantastic art, care, and cleanliness are TOP TIER! I came from Las Vegas and randomly found this hidden gem. I booked a last-minute service with Jack for a tattoo. The studio itself is beautifully decorated with stunning paintings and equally lovely artists. I was welcomed by Jack and Corey.

I sat down with Jack to go over some ideas for my tattoo. He took the time to discuss ideas and share recommendations to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. He is thorough and intentional with his work. I decided to get a piece representing both of my daughters (whom I brought with me!). They welcomed my girls, ages 6 and 5, with open arms. They offered them snacks, cookies, and water. Corey even put on a movie for them, printed some pictures for them to color, and kept them entertained.

I’ve been to a lot of different studios over the years—this experience was BY FAR the best. My tattoo is beautiful and exactly what I wanted, custom-fit to me, and Jack was light-handed it was painless. I felt as though I could hang out and enjoy the energy all day.
