If you’re looking for a place that serves real açaí bowls, not just overly sweet smoothie imposters, Açaí Republic is the gold standard. From the moment you walk in, the bright, colorful atmosphere immediately puts you in a good mood — it feels like a little slice of Brazil right here in town. The açaí itself is absolutely perfect: thick, creamy, and rich in flavor without being overpoweringly sweet. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and don’t water down their base. The toppings are always fresh — the fruit is vibrant and ripe, the granola is crunchy and flavorful, and the drizzle (whether you choose honey, peanut butter, or their house-made condensed milk) ties everything together beautifully. I also love that they offer a variety of bowls and smoothies so you can mix it up every time. What really sets this place apart, though, is the attention to detail and the friendly staff. They clearly care about presentation — every bowl looks like something out of a food magazine — and they take the time to make sure you get exactly what you ordered. The service is always warm, upbeat, and genuine, which makes the experience even better. Prices are fair for the quality and portion size, and you definitely leave feeling satisfied but not heavy. Whether I’m grabbing a quick lunch, a post-workout boost, or just treating myself on a sunny day, Açaí Republic never disappoints. It’s the kind of place you look forward to coming back to...
Read moreI don't typically post reviews but I had to this time. This was the absolute worst place to get Acai in Laguna. I had just come back from a 2 hour hike with my family and I wanted a refreshing bowl. We eventually made it to the place and only I went in. At the time, there were only about 3-5 people in there and everyone was getting their bowls so I thought it wouldn't take long. After the last person left with their order (besides me) I thought they were going to make mine, I was wrong. The two teenage boys working behind the counter went in the back and seemed to be cleaning the equipment, so I thought this can't take long right? It took them at least 10 minutes and by then I was getting impatient. When one of the boys came to the counter, he made an order and called out a name that was not mine. The girls that I hadn't acknowledged at first were talking to me and they said, "It's going to take a while, we've been waiting for over 30 minutes." My mother then came out of the car to see what was going on, and asked the boy how long it would take, he said 5 minutes. We then waited 10 MORE minutes and it still wasn't done. At that point I decided to go back in the car and my mother got a refund. I can't say that the bowls didn't look good, but I...
Read moreThis was only my second ever Acai bowl and I loved it. What I really like about Acai Republic in Laguna Beach is its location. It's right across the street from Main beach in Laguna Beach. My wife and I can't wait to go back and get our Acai bowls and walk across the street and eat on Laguna Beach's Main Beach. It's absolutely a prime location in Laguna Beach.
What I really like about Acai Republic is they have a number of bowls you can choose from. The first Acai bowl I got a year ago or so at a different Acai chain, you had to pick all your options, and I'm one of those people that hates all those choices. What's nice with Acai Republic in Laguna Beach, is you can customize any bowl and add a whole bunch of options. I added almond butter and loved it. My wife and I had this for dinner and it was perfect. I felt like I ate something good for me that tasted amazing.
Besides Acai Bowls, they have all kinds of choices like smoothies, juices and pastries. The banana bread was delicious. We also got the Cheese bread and Empanadas: both were outstanding.
I couldn't recommend Açaí Republic Laguna Beach enough. The food was delicious and the location on Main...
