I know how often State and City Offices receive a negative review. We prep ourselves for the possibility of being scolded if we don't have all the documents or ask too many questions. That was not my experience today...at all. I was purchasing vehicle renewal stickers for the Fleet of my organization, 24 were needed. I let Sherry know the total number and she began immediately scanning/entering. All the docs are in and now it's my turn to pay...Company Card Declines...yikes after all her effort. I apologize, ask to step out of the way to call the bank. I get disconnected the first time. Then wait for them to find my info, request an increase my daily limit, go through security protocols, several which include sending a code to my work phone, of course it's in the car. I apologize again because now I need to leave the office. She reassures me, "It's okay, You're Fine." A little kindness goes a long way. I grab the phone get the increase and hand the card back, but I'm not hanging up with the bank yet until Sherry says we're good, and she does. I could have just said this place was great, but I wanted to share this, in it's entirely. I'm just appreciative of the service I received and needed the kindness today. ...
Read moreI normally do not post about Chicago city services but I had to take time out to say that I have just received the most Outstanding customer service in all of Chicagoland at this city clerk office, and I just wanted to than DAN, for giving me information about getting a 2nd city sticker using my new veteran driver's license. I was set on paying for 2 stickers ( multiple vehicles) he aided and assisted me through the process like no other. Not only this, but informed me of another vehicle that was due without needing to go back and retrieve the other registration, as he saw all from his data base... Bravo Zulu ⭐. D.W. Read moreFIRST TIME GOING TO THIS LOCATION IN 2023 TO TRANSFER MY FATHERS CAR STICKER INTO MY NAME. THE LINE WAS LONG BUT IT MOVED PRETTY FASTS. THE CLERKS WERE HELPFUL. THE PLACE IS SMALL AND THE PARKING FOR THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE COMING INTO THEIR LOCATIONS IS NEVER EVER ENOUGH. I PARKED ON THE RESIDENTIAL STREETS WHERE THERE WERE NO PERMITS (THERE IS PERMIT PARKING MAKING SURE U CHECK THE STREETS) AND WALKED. IT WAS A LOT EASIER THEN GETTING CAUGHT UP IN THEIR SMALL PARKING LOT. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS FOR FOLKS THAT LIVE SOUTH EAST IT IS A BIT OF A DRIVE.
