Epic Snack Shack - Exotic Snacks & Anime — Attraction in Lake View Township

My pyrenees and I had a great time here looking through all the snacks and Katya welcomed us and took us through some options.

I bought one ramen packet that I was dying to try and they're very popular on tiktok now. It's a brand called balduk and it includes a cheese 🧀 packet and spicy hot 🌶 packet to go with the ramen that you boil up in a pot first then add the extra sauces together for a cheesy take on traditional instant ramen.

The only thing I couldn't find though was traditional Japanese rice cracker snacks which is my favorite. Hopefully the owner might consider carrying Japanese rice crackers and wasabi peas 🫛 since there are so many spicy snack items here.

I'm adding two more paragraphs to add onto my former 5 star review. I visited here maybe 4 times altogether because winter kept me away and I live a mile away from this snack shop. Three weeks ago the service I received was enthusiastic but yesterday I came here to browse and pick a few items. I was greeted instead with coldness as a young lady wuth brown short hair and glasses pointedly asked me what I wanted. No smiles just a cold expression. I chose chips which although delicious was a tiny bag for over $3 with taxes and the ramen i picked maybe $2.60. This store is cute 😍 but she didn't have to be so unwelcoming and I felt uncomfortable 😕 Not sure I will be back since this wasn't a great experience. I wanted more items but they never stocked up on Japanese rice crackers and there aren't a lot of products from Israel here. Seems to be an unequal balance of food products from only certain countries and lots of chips. Perhaps let the owner know that if staff here can't fake a smile at a customer it isn't a good look.

I don't need "snacks" it's something you pick as a treat or gift a friend. Your staff member yesterday was chilly and unkind and abrupt. It's not good business practice if you want people to return. I can find any of these snacks online. The point of coming into a store is to browse and see if there's anything of interest you might want that you've never heard of. The person working solo yesterday was obviously irritated 🙄 at my presence. I'm a polite paying customer but yesterday when I walked in here to get snacks it was just bad vibes. I'm not sure if the young lady is overworked or if she just singled me out to throw negative energy onto me but I didn't volunteer to take on anyone's negative energy so I'm removing 1 star 🌟 for the cold vibes...

Extremely rude staff. I LIKED coming here with my kids to buy random candy and I’ve never been treated so rude. A white thin employee with glasses was there before closing and refused to charge me until everyone was altogether. My husband asked for a price and she answered like she didn’t want him to buy it and barely responded. What a unique find!! This place has the best of all over the world in a supremely organized store! I had went to Europe and the Middle East thinking I'd never have the same top-tier snacks in the US, but it's here at the Epic Snack Shack!! The organic Tiger Excellence chips are something else!
