They have great service, exotic/asian indoor plants, and restaurant supplies.

Great Service I went in to buy a double flower jasmine plant for my mother and just as soon as I walked in I was greeted by an employee. The employee there catered to all my questions and was very helpful. She gave me great helpful tips and instructions on how to keep that damn plant alive, so I can relay it back to my mother.

Indoor Plants You can't get them anywhere else. It is really hard to find a store with exotic asian indoor plants because other stores the plants are in horrible conditions. The prices seemed very reasonable so if you forgot your mother's birthday, stop by for a quick cheap gift.

Restaurant Supplies The other side of qideas is the restaurant supplies. I glanced around and they carry everything. From plates to bowls, utensils and to a small private kitchen equipment to large restaurant equipment (i.e. fridges, stoves, etc).

Qideas is by far my favorite plant store in Chicago. Their prices are reasonable. Their selection is vast. The plants are healthy and well cared for. The owners are knowledgeable. But what really sets the store apart is the unparalleled customer experience. Qideas is a family business and when you shop there you are treated like family. You can expect a warm welcome from the owners and a sweet good-bye from Coco, the shop dog. This is the best place on the north side for house plants. They've got healthy plants at reasonable prices, soil, fertilizer, lots of cool indoor pots. The stock rotates frequently and the staff are happy to answer questions if you are new to caring for house plants. The storefront seems small, but the building is much larger than it looks.
