Seven hours, waste of time and money, damaged hair, and no apology. I made an appointment with Kayla for highlights. I wanted try highlights with the new treatment Olaplex. I found this treatment is available in the Siren Salon. I brought a picture to show how I wanted my hair to be done: color and SOME highlights to cover my grey hair. Unfortunately, after four hours, I received a faded color and an entire head covered with skinny highlights. It looked very ugly. The hair stylist was ready to finish and give me a bill of $270, but when I asked if it looks like the picture I showed her, she said it was impossible to do. Then, I ask why she didn't tell me that before. She said nothing and just called the owner. The owner called a different stylist, and they said that they can fix it to look like the picture. It took the second stylist additional three hours to fix the highlights and to put darker color in between the foil. My scalp was sensitive, in pain, and burned after the second highlight. She successfully did my hair like it was on the picture, and she brought a new bill $357 !!!!A whooping $100 more!!!!!! FOR WHAT??? No one apologized for my lost time, pain, and damaged hair. After the second hair wash, my color was gone. And because of the excessive amounts of bleach, my highlights got an ugly yellowish tint and My hair is completely damaged. Olaplex, for which I paid extra $60, could help if it was done correctly, but I think it was not enough time (5 min) to allow the treatment to work. I donāt mind to pay well for a job well done, but I feel like I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrom my horrendous experience, I recommend finding another salon if you have long thick hair. They left my hair gummy, porous, and such a bad taste of color. Sadly, they will act like nothing happen till you have to draw attention to their mistakes (no honesty from them).
I was given a refund but, it will never cover the emotional distress they have caused me. Not to mention my scalp was burning for days! Still, think it's worth it? My hair was almost to my waist. I had to cut it to my shoulders (with layers) due to the gumminess, the excessive amount of time it was taking for my hair to dry, constant tangles, and breakage. The damage is almost to my roots! Therefore, I still have the gummy texture (even though it's short) and will need to do treatments and trims till I get everything out.
Let me point out that no one mentioned the texture/breakage of my hair. I understand there will be some type of damaged but, this was āhuman errorā from the stylist. It is heartbreaking since I had long curly hair and had not dyed it for over 5 years. Also, they will be so concern over the phone and say they want to take care of you. Once you're there it is a different atmosphere. Management will not acknowledge you and will literally go around you just to ask the stylist what was discussed. For me, I need a place I can trust and know I am in good hands. Unfortunately, based on my experience, this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was my first time here. Steve was my stylist. Upon arrival, it was a really clean and pretty salon. Steve was nice. Quiet but nice. However, Steve had completely butchered my haircut. I had hair that went down past my breasts. I walked out with an uneven cut with about 3-4 inches cut off. I specifically told him I wanted 1 inch cut off only. The face framing pieces he cut really thinned out my already thin hair. I specifically told him no layers.I cried the whole drive home and the rest of the night. The next day, they let me come back to try to fix it. My hair had lost so much length already that I was nervous for him to cut more. At the appointment, Steve had admitted to cutting off more than I asked for because āhe thought I needed it.ā He was really rude, dismissive, and condescending. I made him stop cutting my hair and get his manager. I demanded a refund, to which they told me their policy doesnāt allow refunds and he had to contact the owner. She agreed to only refund me $100, when I paid $400 for the service in which my color looked nothing like my inspo photos. This is the worst experience Iāve ever had at any salon. They were dismissive and now I have to wait months for my hair to grow back to the length it was. Horrible experience. I regret...
