Shawarma & Grill At Lakeview — Restaurant in Lake View Township

I recently visited shawarma grill and I have to say, it was an incredible experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the classic chicken shawarma wrap, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly marinated and grilled, with a great blend of spices and pomegranate molasses that really packed a punch. The fresh veggies and tangy garlic sauce complemented the shawarma beautifully. The staff also had me try their lentil soup and I have to say it tasted just like mamas . I Highly recommend especially during the cold days here in Chicago, this will definitely keep you warm! This food absolutely disgusting. I don't see what the big hype is all about. I ordered the mix plate shawarma entrees off of Door Dash. The protein was poor quality, fatty, and bland. Not sure what they put in the rice but it's really nasty. The garlic sauce was actually white garlic mayo, not green with cucumbers like it should be. I would not recommend this place. I usually order from Shawarma Inn on Lincoln Avenue on the north side of Chicago, but they aren't available on door dash. I was trying to save money on the delivery fees by using Door dash but it backfired. Going back to uber eats so I can have Shawarma Inn. I'll eat the delivery fee cost to have my favorite meal made by Shawarma Inn. Good quality food cost a little more but its worth it. Shawarma & grill is pure garbage....

Atmosphere was clean and nice. I like that they have a bathroom for the guests. Food probably took 15 minutes, which is very reasonable. People who are complaining about time won’t have fresh food for less time. Food was very fresh, portion size of falafel sandwich and za’atar fries very great. As long as they keep the larger portions, I will keep coming back. The only negative I would say is if you are dining in, they give you ketchup packets. I really hate that. The packets are messy and not convenient. I would rather have a plastic cup with a side of ketchup to dip or have ketchup on the table or hand me a ketchup bottle.
