I want to comment on the great service received.... and follow up on my experience with Jim Quigley of the Oldsmar Store.... 1. I called on Sat 8-6-22. My Samsung Microwave burnt out that was purchased at a competitor several years ago and in fact was replaced 2 years ago... I did not know if it was carried at this location.... however, Jim was very helpful on the phone.... and I gave him the Model # etc.. etc.... He stated there was only 1 in listed in the system... and would call that store to make sure in stock and get back to me after taking my name and number, to which he did and that store did not have it.... and he would check with corporate and get back to me... Now all this said... and with no positive experience with the competitor I drove to the store since it was in my area, and I had not been in this location previously. Jim was available when I went in.... so we sat to research option.. Stated it would probably be Monday before corp answered to which I said fine... He then researched all Samsung products to see which one may be an acceptable model... Then checked the inventory.... and found one of those, however, needed to contact another individual to get on released from that inventory. He also had placed a call to the Samsung Rep.... who called back when I was in the store and confirmed the model number we were looking at was in fact the closest to the model that blew out...... Then Jim contacted me back to advise one was released to which I purchased over the phone to save a trip to the store... We then set the delivery and installation date which is set for Friday of this week as well.... Certainly being in the retail business all of career I understand and appreciate outstanding customer service to which Jim delivered to the maximum. As I told him... I had not ever been in a Famous Tate store before that day, however, he now has a customer for long time...... I certainly feel if there for some unforeseen reason installation and removal of the old unit does not go smooth... an any issues will be corrected immediately.......
Again, great service Mr Quigley.... and appreciate that especially in these challenging time the last 2 1/2 years for all of...
Read moreEDIT: Since I can't reply to their reply, I will update the review to address their response: "Since the accessories were not being purchased" - This is a lie. The only thing I didn't purchase was the power cord, which I already had. They were to hook up everything else, which I DID purchase with the unit, including the hoses and the exhaust vent hose. This reply actually made me downgrade from a 2 star to a one star. Where has customer service gone?
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Really disappointed. My wife had used the Brandon location before and said she had had good experiences, but the Lakeland location didn't live up to the expectation. We stopped in over the weekend looking for a laundry center to replace a washer and dryer. Everything seemed great! The sales person was super friendly and we had everything set up for a delivery today. I opted to re-use the power cord from our current dryer, so they told me they couldn't hook it up for me for liability reasons. No biggie. They were kind enough to upsell us new hoses and dryer vent hose, and promised these would be installed by the delivery folks.
This morning, I got the call as promised, and the drivers showed up in the time window promised, but that is about all that went right.
I had someone there to meet them, and as soon as they got there, she called me and I headed over from my office about 20 minutes away. They made a complete mess removing the old washer and dryer. My mother in law tried to help them clean up the mess, and they told her they didn't have time, and they just sat the new unit in our utility room. They did not hook up any of the hoses or dryer vent, and when she said something to them about it, they spoke to each other in another language and told her they didn't have time and had to go.
She asked them to wait until I got there (I only missed them by 5 minutes) and they refused to wait or even allow her call me for clarification.
So... I had to mop up all the water and mess they left, hook everything up to the new unit myself and move this huge stacked unit into place with a walking cam boot on my foot.
Great job, guys....
Read moreI have been a customer for over 20 years and my parents long before that. They have always represented the best prices and great service and support. My sales Associate has been Chuck Nichols (same guy) for those 20+ years and he has always been knowledgeable and helpful. The big differentiator between Famous Tate and every other appliance store (Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, Costco... you name it) is they stand behind you the customer and do whatever they can to take care of you.
I have a large family at home and our refrigerator had died sometime early last week. With the Memorial Holiday, service and support were delayed to the following week. When service did make it on Tuesday; we found out that it was not repairable but required replacement. My family and I were facing another week without a refrigerator while the warranty/insurance argued with the manufacturer Samsung over who would be picking up the loss.
I came directly to the Famous Tate store on a Friday afternoon completely unannounced and looking for a solution. The store manager came out and immediately acknowledged the situation, promptly found a solution, and got my family a new refrigerator… Wow! I figured at a minimum we’d have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday the following week to get a refrigerator delivered, but no. They found some guys on the floor and a truck and within 2 hours my old dead refrigerator was gone and a new one was installed. ...
