I can't believe that almost 3 years passed since I decided to attend F&M. Now I am Junior and I am sincerely upset about the fact that at the end of the next year I will be leaving my college years behind. Starting college life is hard. Even harder it is if your start is as international student, who got no friends on this side of Atlantic. F&M was able to provide me with a friendly and welcoming community, great professors and friends that will last me for the rest of my life. Here, I was able not only to pursue my area of interest, Business, but start something that I always wished for, learning Japanese. Thanks to F&M I was able to attend summer program in Japan, making tons of new friends, and new memories.
F&M is a prefect place for you, if you want to do something, you truly love. Faculty here is extremely bright and welcoming, the community is hardworking, yet fun and campus itself, is small and cozy. I know plenty of people here that are both pre-med and art students, or business and english majors. Franklin and Marshall gives you endless opportunities to do something fun. It is your task not...
Read moreMy family went to a college open house at Franklin & Marshall. The school seems fantastic. The administrative staff and the faculty were very informative and friendly. The students seem to like the school a lot.
The dorms were a decent size. The campus small but beautiful. The food selection is decent. My kiddo ate the same thing every time…pesto pasta. I tried the omelette and my husband the pizza. I can definitely see the freshman 15 being gained.
It is fairly easy to get to the school if you live in NYC and don’t want to drive. It is about a 3.5 hour Amtrak ride.
The downside is that there doesn’t seem to be a lot to do in the community of Lancaster itself. The school is a Liberal Arts College and the area around it seems to be pretty conservative. This for us is a fairly big negative….however there are a lot of pros for us...
Read moreI'm currently a freshman here and so far I feel this is truly a home from home!
Academics: simple excellent. Natural sciences here are very great. Profs are very approachable and really helpful. Word load may be heavy but definitely worth it if you study hard.
People: laid-back, cheerful, fun, spirited and determined but not overly-competitive. Very comfortable to be with. Can easily find my own niche in this college.
Campus: pretty small compared to other colleges but I love it this way. You can go to anywhere on campus real quick and easy. Dorms are spacious (at least in my dorm). Food is okay/good. There are quite a few events going on on campus.
Basically this college is a greatttt fit for me...
