Summary: All the favorite Thai dishes at decent prices! Their Thai ice tea is on point too. Great service, especially accommodating babies! My party was a group of 6 (4 adults and 2 babies). Our waitress was very accommodating to our families' needs, giving us a larger table, bringing us the high chairs, and bringing extra plates for the babies. Around the table, we ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Drunken Noodles, the Brown curry, and the Chicken Pad Koriath. My Pad Thai was delicious and just how I expected it to be. We also ordered an appetizer of the battered calamari. That was pretty good. The portions were decent, maybe on the smaller side? I'm a 5ft Asian woman, about 110 lbs and I finished my Pad Thai and was satisfied so hopefully that serves as some comparison for you. We also ordered some Thai Ice teas and the Coconut smoothie. These were very good! There's parking both behind and in front of the restaurant, entrances both front and back. We visited on a Tuesday night so it wasn't very busy. I'd recommend them! We had a great time and loved the food.

Picked up lunch today from sukhothai in Lancaster. I have always loved their food. This time is so hard for restaurants in so many ways. It is almost impossible to plan for what kind of business you will do in any given day which means at the end of the week you can either run out of food or throw food Away. I am super impressed when I see restaurants rising to this challenge and still doing everything they can to keep all of their food fresh. This soup is the hot and sour soup . The only explanation of vegetables crunching so perfectly in soup is that they are so fresh . And the fresh rolls - the perfection of this piece of cilantro in the fresh roll speaks for itself. Pick up was super easy and even brought my order out to me in the rain so I wouldn’t have to get the kids out of the car. Please put this restaurant on your list of places to visit! — at Sukhothai Restaurant.

This is my New Favorite Thai Place! 4.5 CUSTOMER SERVICE Seemed to be as if everyone was in a rush. Even though the restaurant was not full. FOOD Was amazing! The coconut milk soup, Tom Kha Soup, tasted like coconut. No fishy smell. Thai Spicy Sausage, wasn't that spicy but yummy. Mango salad with chicken was well balanced but missing something. I really can't put my taste buds on it but at the beginning seems like fish sauce or something in the plate had a very strong smell. But then the smell dissipated. And the taste came through. Fried Chicken was also yummy. SUMMARY: This place is worth the 2 hour drive I did. Some little details here and there and would definitely encourage the customer service to be a more inviting, not let the client feel hurried. ! RETURN FACTOR 💯 % RECOMMEND A FRIEND FACTOR 💯 %

My honey and I went to Sukhothai in Lancaster on Saturday 10/25/14 for an early dinner. It was a decision of convenience, since we were staying at the Lancaster Arts Hotel and this restaurant was in an adjacent building.

The hostess who was at the reception area gave us a quizzical look when we arrived and asked if we had a reservation. She did not say, "Hello" or "Welcome to Sukhothai" or "How are you this evening?"... It was 6:15; the place was almost empty. We said no, we didn't have a reservation, and she seated us.

When our waitress came over (the one with short dark hair and braces) with water glasses, she also DID NOT EVEN MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO SAY HELLO TO US OR BE GRACIOUS OR FRIENDLY IN ANY WAY. She asked if we were ready to order. We needed another minute. She came back and took our order. We ordered, and I was tempted to say that I also wanted to order her some PERSONALITY but that it wasn't on the menu. Sheesh! She could barely make eye contact with us. This unfriendly, unacceptable behavior continued through our entire dinner.

She was scurrying around, inattentive to us -- but the place wasn't even full.

The space was nice. Cool room dividers, nice decor, good layout..

And the food was ok-bordering-on-good.

But who cares? The food and the room aren't the reasons we go out to eat, are they? No. It's the experience. It's breaking bread with loved ones, enjoying time together. And enjoying time out is hugely influenced by the interactions we have with all of the people we encounter during that time.

I would encourage anyone reading this to go elsewhere if they want to be welcomed and have an enjoyable dinner...

We were greeted promptly and in an extremely friendly manner. Seated at a sweet table for two by the window. Really cute decor was cozy and comfy. Another friendly server brought water immediately. I also got a Thai iced tea and it was perfect-the straw wrapper was even arranged decoratively on my straw!

They asked after a few minutes if we were ready to order. It was the perfect amount of time for us to peruse the menu and make our decisions.

Our appetizers were very good. We tried the shrimp spring rolls and the homemade peanut sauce was delicious. The really amazing appetizer was the flavorful Thai sausage with the smoky-spicy dipping sauce. Fantastic!

My husband had the sweet and sour beef and it was tender, but crispy and the flavor was just great. I opted for the green curry with chicken and this was SO hard to stop eating. Omg. Delicious! I took some home simply because I was determined to get dessert!

We decided to share the mango dessert with the purple rice. Well, that was a stroke of luck! Out came half of a really tasty and tender mango on a bed of warm purple sticky rice with a cinnamon flavor. There was an icing drizzled over top of the mango and the warm cinnamon rice with the cool mango and that light drizzle of icing was just heaven!

Definitely will go again. New favorite! It is also BYOB, in case you'd like to take your own alcoholic beverage along. Very impressed with every aspect of this experience. ...

The Thai food at SukoThai is exceptional. The restaurant has a nice selection of appetizers, soups, and entrees as well as desserts. I love the spice option of none, mild, medium, hot, and Thai hot. A bit of a warning, the Thai hot definitely earned some respect from me. I like that the food dishes offer options of vegetarian customization such as tofu and cashew, as well as omnivore choices such as shrimp, beef, chicken, pork, etc.

Since moving to Lancaster County, I have frequently ordered multiple selections here and have never once been disappointed with my choice. The problem with doing this has been it has become increasingly more difficult to order as everything I have tasted is delicious. I can tell you that I am very partial to the hot and sour soup and the mango sticky rice dessert during most visits but the competing choices are equally satisfying.

The atmosphere is quiet, the staff friendly, and the take out option is also and excellent option as the food is hot and fresh upon pick up. I have introduced many friends who have never had Thai food to the SukoThai menu. Each and everyone of them have added this restaurant to their favorite list.

Please like and share this review. Sorry I do not have any pictures to share as when the food is presented, all thoughts of a...
