A Perfect Night with the Lancaster Stormers at Penn Medicine Park
Last night’s trip to see the Lancaster Stormers was everything you want in a summer evening—great baseball, friendly people, and unbeatable value. We sat in the second row behind home plate for only $18, and I mean right there—close enough to hear every pitch and feel the energy of the game. It was like stepping back in time to when baseball was pure, fun, and affordable.
Penn Medicine Park, formerly Clipper Magazine Stadium, is a gem. Clean, welcoming, and filled with fans who love the game. The Stormers play hard, the crowd gets into it, and there’s a real sense of community throughout the ballpark. You’re not just watching baseball—you’re part of it.
One unexpected highlight? The house specialty drink: White Birch. It comes in a 12-ounce can and is a magical little elixir—5% alcohol, but smooth and sweet like an old-school birch beer. It’s the kind of drink that sneaks up on you in the best way, and it fits the whole ballpark vibe perfectly. Cold, nostalgic, and a little bit of fun in every sip.
If you’ve never been, grab a ticket, grab a White Birch, and get ready for a night of baseball done right. I’ll...
Read moreWe had a lovely time at my son's graduation 🎓 held here. There was actually shade in the stands at midday and the seats were comfortable. The food was way over priced, we but expected it to be. The restrooms were easy to find, working well, and very very clean. The arena was easy to find and had great parking. It was an amazing ceremony and really nice to see the kids pictures up on the jumbo screen... Not that you had to watch the screen to see who each kid was as they crossed the stage because even from over half way up the 🏟️ you could make out the kids faces and facial expressions. It was just the best graduation 🎓 I have ever been to and I am not just glowing as an over proud momma... Even though I am very proud of my son... It was just a lovely day and I can only imagine a ball game would be just as lovely there. Oh and it was 92+degrees out today when we were there and the heat was not even an issue... The breeze swept through the facility and kept us cool in the shade. My son did say it was much hotter on the field but he was also wearing several extra layers of dress clothing as well as a cap and gown. This was just a lovely experience in a...
Read moreOur family has attended a number of games at the Clipper Magazine Stadium to see the Lancaster Barnstormers. Three of the games we have had been privileged to have been invited to watch the game in the upper deck box suites.
Each time we have attended we have been very pleased. The food is fantastic, the service great and the staff friendly, courteous and helpful.
When not in the box suites we have had seats in the regular seating area. To be honest... it's hard to get a bad seat at Clipper Magazine Stadium. We have sat in both the first base side and the third base sides and have been pleased each time.
The concessions are good eatin' too! The prices are as expected but it's been fresh and delicious.
When the fames get long and you have kids... there is an in-park playground for the kids to run around. There is an admission ($5 I think) for this but I believe you can use it for the entire game.
Parking is less than desirable but the parking crew keeps both foot traffic and motorized traffic flowing.
If you want a fun afternoon or evening at the ball park in Lancaster... visit Clipper Magazine Stadium and cheer for the...
