I moved to Lancaster about five years ago. Since that time I've used CVS for all of my mental health medications and haven't had any problems. It recently took two weeks of fighting to get my medication from CVS. My medical provider contacted CVS and provided documentation that said this medication is a requirement for me and that it was absolutely necessary. The pharmacist still refused to fill my medication. In fact, she repeatedly to told me to have my PHP change my medication. I think she may be a newer pharmacist at CVS- I never had a problem with Richard.
You're a pharmacist, not my doctor. My depression medication is absolutely necessary. I have been out of my depression medication for two weeks because a pharmacist won't work with my doctor's office. To change my medication would require me to wean off of my medication before adding a new one. I am not in a safe position that affords me to reduce my depression meds right now. I shouldn't have to repeatedly explain that to a pharmacist after they've talked to my doctor's office.
I've changed to a local pharmacy that will provide my medically necessary medication, as prescribed by my healthcare team. I am happy to take my consistent business elsewhere.

Read moreMy husband received a prescription sent to the Harrisburg Ave CVS late on the afternoon of July 3. We arrived to pick up the medication at 6:08 pm. We did not know the pharmacy closed at 6:00. The pharmacist was behind the counter. The gates were closed. I tried to get his attention. He was reluctant to engage with me. He refused to give me the medication. He said he was closed. He said the pharmacy would reopen on July 5. I would have to wait. I asked if I could get it at another CVS. He said from afar “You can try.” We did try. The pharmacist at Columbia Ave CVS said he could not fill the prescription since the other pharmacist had partially filled the order. We will not return to the Harrisburg Pike CVS, our “neighborhood” drugstore. This pharmacist should...
Read moreTerrible store. They are located on a very busy intersection but for some reason they keep their main doors locked and force you to enter and exit through the back so it's very inconvenient for anyone who wants to come in from the street. I live across the street and every day I see dozens of people try to use the front doors and then just leave when they realize they can't. They also never have adequate staff. Not counting the pharmacy, they never have more than one person on the sales floor. It is impossible to have someone show you where something is because that one person working the store is always on the register. Today there were two people in line ahead of me and the cashier was on her phone....
