No bathroom for kids or anyone (there is a public restroom a block and a half away). Still requiring face coverings... (June 2022). Volunteers were super nice and informative and seemed genuinely interested in sharing info. There's a little kid area that is kind of like a whale themed center with puzzles, games, books, and coloring pages. My 4 year old seemed to like it. (Picture is taken standing in kid room looking out into the half with information and displays towards front door) Bones and other information in half of the main room. Gift shop on the other half. Decent prices. Lots of whale books for all ages. Left with an orca plush and craft kit. If you have whale questions, this is the place to go. If they had a bathroom available and weren't requiring face coverings, I would have left happier. But they were...

Whale, Whale, Whale, Look What We Have Here!

Dive into the Langley Whale Center, where everything is bigger and better just like our oceanic friends. This place is a real whale of a time, bursting at the seams with exhibits that make you feel like you’re swimming with the giants.

Life-sized whale models? You betcha. Interactive displays? Oh, for krill! The museum’s got it all, making learning about these majestic creatures more fun than a barrel of fish.

And the staff? They are whaley knowledgeable and charming to boot. Ask them anything, they’ll school you in whale lore faster than you can say blubber.

The center is a whalesome surprise, too. It has all the whale swag you never knew you needed.

So, if you’re fishing for a good time, Langley Whale Center is your catch of the day. Trust me, it’s a whale of...

Lovely museum! During our visit, there was a volunteer who educated us a great deal about orcas. He patiently answered all our questions and mentioned he was a teacher and been volunteering here for the past few years. I forgot his name, but we were so glad that we got to spend our time there, with him walking us through the whale center. It’s amazing how they keep track of these giants and it’s evident that they find joy in what they do! We left this place inspired and do our bit to protect Mother Nature. Thanks to the volunteers and keep up the...

What a fun place! There are several actual (huge !) whale skulls that you can see, and many interpretive exhibits about whales and some other animals. Also a nice selection of souvenirs and whale-related gifts, books, and toys. There's a display up front showing where whales have recently been spotted in the area. If you like whales or just want to learn about them or pick up a fun souvenir, this is the place!
