A pub like this does feel like a place where everyone knows your name. We were greeted warmly at the door, and decided to grab a couple seats at the bar. It was packed with the lunchtime rush. (Not a bad thing at all.) They have a nice selection of cocktails and beers. Noticed they fresh squeezed every orange and lime used in the drinks! We both went with the French Dip. It was tasty, the caramelized onion added a nice flavoring. Fries were good too. Prices were fair and service was spot on. Granted our server was Susan, one of the owners. Truly is friendly place you'll want to come back to!

Good food and cozy atmosphere. Came in on a snow day and they were short staffed so the waits all around were long, but totally understandable given the situation. While they were out of a lot that day, the burgers were great, fries very crispy, and the wings good. The only thing is the French dip sandwich was SUPER salty - the sandwich itself was already pretty salty but the dip was waaay salty, even given that it's supposed to be on the salter side. Would come again to try their wraps and chili!

I am very picky about deep fried pickles. I am pleased to say they have a decent offering. Even after the cooking process they remained slightly crunchy and still very dill in flavor. The burger was juicy. The fries were average, a little on the salty side. I would come here again. Special props for being open after 5pm, which appears to be the closing time of everything in Langley on even the most beautiful of summer evenings.

We absolutely love Spyhop and make a point to visit every time we’re in Langley. It’s one of those rare spots that manages to feel both laid-back and thoughtfully run—a perfect fit for the Whidbey Island vibe. It’s our go-to place when we’re with family, including little kids, and we’ve always felt incredibly welcome.

The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, but the food is top-notch. The menu has a great variety, with something for everyone—from hearty burgers to fresh seafood to creative vegetarian options. Everything we’ve tried has been consistently delicious. That said, the sweet potato fries are next-level. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just right—they’re a must-order every time.

What really sets Spyhop apart is the balance they strike between quality and comfort. You never feel rushed, the staff is friendly and easygoing, and the space is just as good for a lazy lunch as it is for a casual dinner. Whether you’re dropping in after a beach walk or looking for a family-friendly dinner spot, you can’t go wrong here. Highly recommend checking it out if...

Nice little pub spot off the downtown area. Went here to meet some friends from out of town. We were greeted very well by our server and noticed they had a great selection of local beer and a variety of mixed drinks. Ordered the mac and cheese balls and were very excited to try them but found out they were cold in the middle which was off putting but we were quickly sent another order of them. They tasted pretty well the second time. After that I had the double bluff burger which was enormous and super filling. I wish they would ask you how you wanted your burger done because all the burgers were well done and dry. And the bun that was used on all the burgers was just too dense which didn't help. All in all a good spot if you want to grab a quick drink with friends but the food was just alright. Service and drinks definitely saved the day. Will be trying some different...

Avoid the crowds and long waits on First Street and head to Spyhop on Second (OK it's really good so there might be a wait here too).

We drove into Langley on a summer Thursday evening around 6pm for dinner and everything on First Street had an hour+ wait so we were really happy when we found Spyhop. There were a couple tables open and we were sat right away.

The service was quick, attentive, and friendly. For our table we had a burger, fish and chips, and my daughter got the chicken tenders. She ate almost everything so that's definitely a compliment there! I mixed it up and had the burger with the avocado, bacon, and swiss cheese and it was really tasty. Burger was well seasoned and the flavors melted together nicely. I tried the fish and chips as well and liked the hint of pepper in the slaw.

Bonus points for seeing an old friend after almost exactly 20 years on...
