Whataburger — Restaurant in Las Cruces

I normally like Whataburger, when it's done correctly. I ordered online for this location so there could be no miscommunication about how I wanted my food. My bacon cheeseburger that was supposed to be plain add onions was onions, cheese, mustard.........and no hamburger patty. My other burger which only specified NO PICKLES had what seemed like extra on there. We ordered one Coke and one Diet and they handed us one, said it was the Coke and then when the second came..."here's the other" with no tabs pressed to indicate. It does NOT taste like Diet, and as a Type 1 Diabetic, I need to know if it is regular or not. When I called to get it refunded, the store informed me that since I had placed it online they could not help me. How can they not refund a $20 order when they mess it up? They did not even provide the product I paid them for (two hamburgers) since one did not even have the meat on there! I was just told repeatedly I would have to go through online means instead of just having someone at the store assist me since THEY made the food wrong. This makes me want to stop going to Whataburger in general, as this is not the first issue I have had with a local location. They push you off to corporate for any concerns so they are not accountable for their issues. It would have taken 10 minutes tops to get it done at the location, but now I've been on hold with corporate for longer than that trying to get...

So I have been going to Whataburger in various locations since 2009 in TX and I ALWAYS substitute the mustard that comes on the burger for honey mustard. Never a problem. I was traveling back to TX and came across one in NM. Was soo excited! Ordered my usual and the cashier, Allyssa M told me that they couldn't substitute HM on the burger but I could get it on the side. I told her(nicely promise) that it's not a problem at every Whataburger location I've ever been to and could she ask a manager (receipt says Karla Gamboa was on shift at 7:03:26pm on 12/21/2020). She did so and came back with the same decision. I told her np I'll just take it on the side. Then the thought crossed my mind that usually when you get HM on the side it's an extra charge. Asked and sure enough they charged me $0.35 extra. I'm not going to lie, at that point after driving for 19hrs and being tired, I did say that they were a-holes but didn't yell or anything. I could've gone to a different fast food, but I drove out of my way to come here and so I was just really disappointed how I was treated. If you can't (or don't want)to make a substitution, at least don't charge for the side. I did give 2 stars vs 1 because the lady who delivered it, was nice and I'm pretty sure that Whataburger as a company is about customer service. Oh according to the receipt the store...

I am from out of town staying the night at the nearby Drury. I used to milk cows a long time ago but still enjoy the early morning part of the best. It seemed the only place in town for a 3:45AM brekkie was my local Whataburger. This appealed to me greatly as I've seen the signs and stores but never been. I went inside of course and so glad I did.

I spent almost $15.00 for the best entertainment I have had in this almost 6,000 mile coast to coast and back by different route trip!!

I know people that do not have jobs. Out of the 6 staff - 4 had jobs but they could not do them.

After ordering and then instructed on how the coffee goes I started to stay more aware of the food handlers. It did not matter.

I had got this crew doing a complete breakdown and sub par cleaning of all the grills and fryers. As they took my order, they knew it would be at least a 30 minute wait.

I am good with this incompetence because I go to experience a Whatburger. Couple groups of kids being kids at 4am. I enjoyed it. reminded me of younger years. The real show as behind the counter. That tall dirty gangly stwitchy guy scared just a little.
