Cardenas Markets — Attraction in Las Vegas

PROS: The quality, variety and prices of their produce = Amazing 👍👍👍 Can buy made-to-order fresh fruit/vegetable blended juices from their beverage/juice counter Can order to-go or dine-in at their cafe located near the front of the store. They offer dishes somewhat similar to what you'd see at an El Pollo Loco (Chicken right off the grill) but more authentic flavors. Variety of fresh items they've prepared, cooked, and packaged in-store. You can even see them doing this with some items like their tortillas. Variety and quality of the items in their bakery can't be beat! They have breads and sweet treats that you would not find at any other typical grocery store. Friendly staff. I have not had any problems with finding an English speaking employee if needed.

CONS: High prices and lack of variety of many items on my typical grocery list (i.e. Lactose Free Milk, All Frozen Goods, Water, chips, Spices/Seasonings, Yogurt, especially when big brand items) A few items I frequently shop for I can never find here (i.e. Some quality, prime cut, steakhouse worthy meat, baby dill pickles)

The 'CONS', although only a few, are enough to where I will have to make an extra trip at some point to a different grocery store in order to get all items I have to purchase each month..

worst customer service ever. So I go to the store after buying a meat two days ago straight from the Package from Factory. I get the meat home. I was gonna cook the next day. I open end it smells like dead animals and it started to get green.

I come back today to return the meet after I call their customer service line and nobody answers obviously and the day before, and nobody answers the phone lines from different stores . So I drove about 20 miles just to get my refund and the man here was helping another gentleman in front of me . He got tired of waiting so he walked away, so I stood there for about 10 minutes. She can see over her shoulders. Are somebody waiting? There did not bother to ask me anything. Or say I’ll be there with you.

Working on her schedules until I finally had it and I asked her is there anybody else that can help me besides you? I’ve been waiting here for and no one bother to ask me what I need.

After talking to her, she comes out and tries to talk me over about buying another meat. I said I’m not sure I wanna shop here anymore. Specially meat.

I’m just wondering, when was the last time that Dept came by and check on the dates on the meet that comes straight from Factory .

Probably they are packing the meat and another package to keep it longer on the shelves just to save money on throw away Products.

that’s a big violation for the meat...

This store is honestly disappointing. The whole place has a weird smell, and I’ve come across expired or nearly expired items more than once. The meat section is terrible, and even basics like soda are overpriced.

One of the biggest issues is the security staff; the older bald man is inappropriate and harasses people, which makes the store feel unsafe. I mean it gives he will sexually assault you, was reported already and moved to another store for a few weeks but now is apparently back and has not learned anything. May not learn anything until he gets assaulted, & charges pressed; then a lawsuit against the entire store because they were ALREADY made aware of these issues & I have documented months of video evidence.

On top of that, it’s wild to be in Vegas and not find staff who can communicate in English when you need help.

The only bright spots here are the Black security guard, who actually takes time to build relationships with regular customers, and the older Hispanic woman with short hair at self-checkout, who is always kind and helpful. Without them, this location would have nothing positive...
