My short review is that the quality doesn't match the price. The flavor wasn't there and it wasn't at all what I was expecting. There is no drive thru, as stated. The microphone doesn't work so you have to go inside to order. We ordered birria...ramen and tacos. I don't know if they are using goat or beef but the meat was dry and lacking flavor. It didn't taste like it was in consume, the tacos had a good sized serving of meat but were nothing special. 2 corn tortillas with shredded meat. The tortillas were not dipped in consume and fried as I expected. The ramen was a let down as well. For $15.99 I expected better quality. I'm pretty sure they are using the cheapest dollar store ramen packets for their noodles. You could taste the stale processed flavor over the weak broth. The broth was pretty much just beef broth. There was no Chile or pepper flavor in it, no spice, I was expecting consume broth but it tasted like plain old beef broth. The flavor was weak. I had to add all the cilantro, onions and 8 lime slices to add enough flavor for it to not taste like basic Top Ramen noodles with shredded beef. I've had birria ramen several times before and this was by far the weakest version. I wouldn't buy this again and considering the low quality of ingredients (I don't know how this can even be considered birria) I wouldn't pay more than...
Read moreWow just wow. My boyfriend and I and another couple just spent a few days in Vegas for Valentine's Day weekend. We are HUGE taco fans so the first morning we were there we looked up taco spots so we could eat before our drive to do desert activities. To my surprise there were so many and I was in between Tacos el Gordo and Tacos el Pastor. Boy are we glad we chose Tacos al Pastor because it was a phenomenal experience from beginning to end. When we first walked in we realized it was the same setup as Tacos el Gordo where you stand in line and order from the kitchen line and then pay at a separate desk. Although there was a good amount of people in front of us, it only took minutes to get to the front and order because they are that fast!
Everything is made fresh and in front of you, from the cutting of the meats, to the guacamole to the tortillas! We ordered two of everything. There is also a separate garnish bar with radishes and limes and there's also two types of hot sauce if you ask. All I have to say is that it was incredibly delicious and the restaurant has a large seating area inside and outside giving it a nice ambiance. My boyfriend even snuck off to order 6 more tacos to go so we can eat after our hike.
Will definitely return to this place next time I'm in town, it will not...
Read moreThe place seams to be busy all the time, so we decided to try it out. Now if you see a place that serves ethnic foods, and the place is filled with people of that ethnicity the food should be really good right. Well not here had the asada frys, the wife had a hot dog ordered it with mayo, mushrooms and onions, firstly the hot dog came out plan no onions no mayo and , no mushrooms took it back up the replacement hot dog was wrong also they put jalapenos on it, wife did not want them and no onions as for the mushrooms they were cold and came from a can. As for my asada fries the fries were crispy yet soft the nacho cheese from a can with jalapeno in it ( can't do jalapenos do to reactions, i like spicy foods though) and the meat was as bland as meat can be, no salt, pepper or seasonings of any kind used in the cooking process. Not sure if the cooks were on the ball or just slacking off. We will not be going back to this over...
