I have never given a bad review on this place before because I am a regular but I haven't come in awhile ever since my brother went to the hospital after choking on their steak strip but that's a whole nother story. I ordered my usual after arriving there but during my meal I noticed a small black facial hair in my ceviche that My daughter pointed out but i just flicked it off and continued eating because it wasn't a big deal.
When I started making a plate for my daughter from the Lomo saltado my baby pointed out another hair that looked just like the one in the ceviche and didn't want to eat her food, AGAIN I flicked it off and told her it's fine and to just keep eating. I started to scoop some rice from the plate and that's when I notice ANOTHER HAIR at this point my daughter is grossed out and I started to get grossed out too to the point I didn't want to touch the food anymore.... I called the server and requested the food to be made and told her we already found 3 black hairs and wanted her to remake the food without hair..while I'm talking to her my daughter points out a black long hair on the plate and that's when I started to gag, The waitress quickly grabbed the plate from me and told me she's going to put it in a Togo container even though we weren't even done eating, She was trying to hurry us out without dealing with the situation!! I gave her my debit card and she walked away with it but then when she came back with the booklet it was missing my debit card, I did not notice all I did was sign and leave. I'm at the gas station near my house realizing I can't pay for gas because my card is missing, I call the restaurant and they fully admitted to forgetting to give it back!!! So now I had to spend 30 minutes there and back (a full hour) just to retrieve my card. They didn't do anything to resolve the issue no compensation no discount, no apology they just rush you out the door when you notice their flaws....Never coming back for...

My family ate at this place at least 2 to 3 times a month. On our last visit, the owner lost our business. I waited an hour and a half for my food. My whole party ate and I sat there waiting. The waiter is deadly afraid of the owner I assume. I order the ceviche verde, the waiter waited until the rest of the orders came out to tell me they ran out of green sauce. No big deal. I said ok ill take the regular. 3 min later I tell him if the regular ceviche has not been prepared i would like the yellow tallarines instead but if the reg ceviche is done dont worry about it. Well an hour later i get the tallarines. Total time waiting for my food 1hour and a half. I dont mind waiting a bit longer than usual but an 1jour and 1/2 is outrageous Lady at the register would not deduct the plate, and went as far as asking me if i ATE!! Then after explaining to her over again that this long wait was an issue she agrees to charge me half the plate 9.00. Well i hand her my card and she runs it for the full amount 91.00. Says sorry and hands me 6 bucks. So i sign the receipt and tip the waiter 15% as usual. Why because it was the principle not the money. I will never return. She lost a great customer. Maybe 1 does not matter to them since the place is always busy but over time bad service, greed, and insulting your patrons puts a restaurant out of business.
Old review-
Best place for Peruvian cuisine. Family owned and operated. Dishes are very tasty and authentic. If you love sea food and spicy food I highly recomend the green ceviche (ceviche verde). Food is 5 stars, service can be a bit slow at times. The food is...
Read moreI read the reviews and I did not had the same experience, mi experience was really good, there is always a reason for something, again our experience was great! No waiting ( we got there at 6:20 in a Saturday night) the waiter greet us and take us to a table right away, he was friendly, got our drinks ( chicha with maracuya and inka cola) and shortly after our appetizer (stuffed palta) arrived with a big smile on a female waiter, then , they have came to check on us and shortly after our food arrived ( piqueo Lima limón, house special) and it was very good, so much flavor and if you thought we Mexicans eat to much lime wait to try Peruvian food! It was plenty for the both of us and we take some home. Our table neighbors share a secret with us the special of the day is not in the menu and it’s always something different make sure you ask for it, tonight’s was empanadas (3) and looked great. The portions in this place are big, you will not go home hungry, prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food our final bill was about $67 + tax+tip. We will return! The final picture was not in our order, it was at the bar and it looked so good that I asked if I can get a picture is called Jalea. Mami ya encontré lo que probamos antes que cerrara “Peruvian hands”, otro muy recomendable también.
Update: 10/19/24 we been here several time, always great, today we got here at 7:25 pm ( they close at 8), the place had only a few tables left and we got a seat in less that 5 min.
