Cheyenne Ave is the northern border of Summerlin, & I live right across Cheyenne in Lone Mountain. I'm blessed to be able to frequent my own well known neighborhood parks that are right across Alexander Rd., such as the world-famous Lone Mountain Trail, Lone Mountain Equestrian Park, and Lone Mountain Regional Park. Trigono Hills Park is right up the hill on Cliff Shadows. A quick 6 minute drive away from me is this really nice neighborhood park located in the new North Summerlin village called Reverence. Small, quiet, tucked away at the base of the mountains with breathtakingly beautiful scenery and two tennis courts, a playground, a beach volleyball court, a full-court basketball court (which I plan to take full advantage of very soon), bike path, & huge grass field. It also has an automatic filtered water bottle dispenser and bathrooms....
Read moreThis park is ok in some aspects. BUT, If you like playing basketball (like me), then this place is meh at best. There are few people here and the sprinklers, not the sprinklers. Half of them are broken by the baseline of the court. Most of the water doesn't hit the grass. It either is on the court or the walkway. A lot of people like to walk at night, and I kid you not. Half of the concrete is covered in water. The reason I give it a 3 star rating though is because, when a basketball is covered in water, it can cut your hands which has happened to me 6 times now at this one spot, and none of your shots go in. If you are wondering why I do the use of the other side of the court, well, that hoop is crooked.
Update. They are fixing some things and the water is still a problem but only...

One full size basketball court in great shape. Perfect for some pickup games. The water fountain at the bathroom even has a snazzy bottle-filling water dispenser. My favorite part about this park is how close it is to the smaller mountains and hills in the area loaded with a plethora of hiking trails. PSA: I have heard of a homeless presence (maybe because of the wash and drainage tunnels in the area), but I have never experienced an issue. There are signs that advise to take valuables from cars and lock the cars, so I always just steer towards the safe...
