I struggled with leaving this review but now that my food has been tampered with I have to speak out. I have been frequenting Chaiya since the time that they opened. I have ordered the same two items since day one. The other day no one was answering the phone so I placed the order through Yelp pick up because I was on a time crunch for lunch. Once I got the order back to my office I realized they didnât include the spice level I requested. I called the restaurant to let them know it was made incorrectly & if they could remake it. They agreed to do so and now with even less time on my lunch hour I hurried back to the restaurant to pick up the correct order. Due to COVID I decided not to bring the incorrect order back into the restaurant because of possibility of contamination. When I tried to pick up my revised order they berated me and tried to hold my order hostage while they requested I go back and get the incorrect order. At the end of the back and forth they gave me my order. Because, I love to support local businesses I decided to order from Chaiya again. When the order was delivered, it was spiced to level 10 which was not requested and the noodles were clearly burnt to a very dark brown. Knowing that they took these measures to ruin my order makes concerned as to what else they may have done to my food. I think this is stomach turning for Chaiyaâs staff and cooks to deliberately tamper with my order. I wouldnât recommend this restaurant anymore due to these actions. Any place that would lessen their standards and tamper with food because they donât like a customer should not be allowed to...
Read moreMy friend lived in Thailand, and I asked her, "So, how does Chaiya Thai" stack up to the food you ate while living there? She said, "It's identical!"
My American tastebuds wouldn't know authentic, but they do no good taste, and Chaiya Thai is definitely tops in taste!
My girlfriends and I indulged in Panang Curry, Garlic Fried Rice with chicken, and the Ribeye Basil Eggplant, as well as Pork Dumpling noodle soup-- with plenty of leftovers to spare!
Standouts for me were the Garlic Fried Rice which had the perfect amount of garlic and buttery yum, and the Ribeye Basil Eggplant was the best it could possibly be-- I LOVE fried basil, perfectly cooked eggplant chunks and delicious and generous portions of steak combined with some veggies and a cozy warm black bean sauce, I could order this again and again!
This is a small bistro, it doesn't have the ambience of a restaurant, so it definitely reminded me of "one of those NYC-like hole in the walls" where you come with good friends for a casual meal and chat. However, though small, there were plenty of folks at the other tables, and the conversations didn't create a din, so we didn't feel the cacophony of NYC-like chatter--- ahhh Vegas, so happy it's you, so happy we're all HERE! Chaiya Thai Bistro was...
Read moreThe food here is delicious but make sure you check your order before you leave the building. Sometimes they leave things out or sometimes what you order isn't right. Just check but eat here...until it just becomes ridiculous. They have dine in but very limited because of the virus. I always order take out. I've ordered a couple of items that had changed not for the better...for instance the BBQ over Fried Rice. It used to be more of a glazed bbq flavor but now it's just dry bbq. And I mean dry. Not my favorite anymore. Before, I would eat the glazed bbq everyday if they kept it the same. The Pad Thai is delicious. If you order an appetizer, get an order of the Money Bag but again make sure you check to make sure the sauce is in the bag...otherwise it's more like Sad Bag. My wife keeps ordering the Thai Beef Salad. Loves it. The Yellow Curry is delicious too. The inside of the restaurant is clean. I will probably eat here at least...
