DISCRIMINATORY BIASES AND PROFILING!!!!

This is a follow up to the post that Keiya T created in regards to the Loubotin shoes that Superpawn did not accept!

These shoes were gifted to ME for the holidays, I tried the shoes on ONCE, they did not fit, therefore I’ve been looking to sell these shoes since then! Seeing how I was unable to visit Superpawn today, I asked Keiya to go in my presence to see how much Superpawn would offer. They immediately denied her and insinuated that these shoes were worn. Again, these shoes are BRAND NEW, please refer to other pictures of the shoes that have been posted on eBay as well! I CALLED THE STORE IMMEDIATELY after to see what the issue was and they would not put me in direct contact with the person who looked at the shoe, they refused to explain why the shoe was not approved other than their ASSUMPTION that the shoe was worn, and when I asked them to describe what the issue was that would make them say the shoe was worn they could not provide me with an explanation! I FIRMLY believe these shoes were not accepted due to racial profiling and discriminatory biases, and to further INSINUATE and ASSUME that Keiya wiped these shoes when they match the image of these pictures that were taken per the date of the photo is outrageous! I’ve walked in this store on several occasions and never have I received such unprofessionalism as I experienced over the phone when I asked for their review of the shoe, as well as the person who was present for me.

TO FURTHER NOTE…Please understand, had I been present, further legal action would’ve taken place. It’s absolutely ridiculous, unfortunate, and disgraceful that a place of business would LIE and make assumptions on someone due to a persons appearance, and cannot explain or justify their choices and decisions when the owner of an items calls.

To everyone who may read this review, I would like to say to them that even though it was my first time coming to this company, I was extremely surprised at the level of professionalism, caring and prioritizing their customers with a welcoming and positive attitude. I'm a retired teacher and principal who's living with nerve issues on my shoulders for the past two years. Three years ago I bought two lawn mowers for my two houses, then shortly after I started having nerve pains and I couldn't push them to cut my grass. Therefore I bought a John Deere riding mower that's been doing the job perfectly without issues. So I didn't need the two push mowers anymore and I came to this pawnshop to part with them as they sat in my garage collecting dust. I knew that I was not going to get what I paid for them, but Chris understood my situation and offered me a price that I accepted. It's definitely not for me to make money, but I was impressed at his degree of courtesy and professionalism. This was why I decided to sell them to him, despite the lower price. Again it's not about making money, it's my appreciation of his unbiased behavior that I like very much and that's what led me to take my time and write these words. From my observations, this company is highly customer driven and deserves some respect from the community. I’ve been going to Superpawn for years whenever I’ve been in a bind and needed to pawn something for a short while. They are ALWAYS friendly and ALWAYS helpful (especially if it’s taking me a bit longer than expected to pay down the pawn.) I love dealing with them and won’t go anywhere else now. Even when I lived about an hour from them, I’d still make the drive. Not to mention the fact that they have a TON of cool stuff every time I walk in.

Super Pawn has always been my go-to when I've needed some extra cash or I find something I've been looking for amongst their many treasures. And if I ever fall behind (because like everyone else, my life gets overly complicated at times, and usually all at once,) they've always been willing to work with me and have always shown me respect.
