Yay!!! I finally found my go-to auto shop for my Mini Cooper, and itâs MMS Automotive. As a woman, itâs so important to find a place that you can trust to take good care of your car, and is honest and fair in their services and pricing. I love the vibe from their team too! Everyone is friendly and helpful.
It was all these 5-star reviews of MMS Automotive that put them on my radar. So, itâs only right that I now add to the positive reviews to help other Mini Cooper owners give this auto shop a chance like I did.
And Iâm so glad I did! Even before I took my car Olive there (my dealership maintenance plan just ended this summer), I would reached out to MMS Automotive on multiple occasions to get a second opinion on issues. Mark, the founder and owner, was always super responsive and helpful. He gave professional advice and recommendations, which I so appreciated. (Thank you Mark!)
Recently, my car battery died (or âunalive itselfâ as the kids say nowadaysâŚI think) before the Christmas holiday, and Jessie at MMS Automotive offered a better deal than my dealership service dept. While the battery would not be the exact model that the dealership service dept would install, Jessie assured me that it works just as great. Plus, it comes with a 3-year warranty, which is 1 more year than my dealershipâs.
And during the service, their technicians also checked other maintenance needs and issues (I knew about one but had been putting it off due to cost, and also because it wasnât an emergency). MMS Automotive gave very reasonable and fair quotes to fix those issues should I want to in the future. I appreciated that Jessie was informative but didnât try to scare or push me to get those fixed right away.
And since my car service at MMS Automotive, Olive drives beautifully and thereâs no problems at all. Iâm happy about the great service and extra savings. Thank you Jessie, Mark, and the team at MMS Automotive! Iâll see you again in 2025 for Oliveâs bougie maintenance needs and her annual checkup. Thanks for making sure that she and I can motor on...
Read moreI needed to fix an oil leak in my 2013 Mercedes Benz C250. I searched online for a Mercedes service centre near me. MMS Autosport popped up. Promptly my New Yorker banker friend whoâs used to running risk checks on customers tried to dig up dirt on them. He called me to say no negatives came up. All the reports on MMS Autosport were positive. I took his word and went over. In the end my own experience at MMS trumped the glowing report my friend gave me. The place is a small, quaint affair, more like a family restaurant that serves the same discerning few over many years. You see, thereâs actually a bar. With free drinks and snacks for clients. And music! The day I went there, it was jazz. One of the guys said that depending on the energy in the shop and the kind of work they were doing, it could be heavy metal! I didnât doubt him. They were all friendly and soft-spoken. And very professional. Mark, Jesse, Brian, Vanessa, the whole crew. They won me over immediately by running a free diagnostic check on my car. I believe this is customary. Iâm not sure, though. Finally, they told me what it would cost. They explained that they âwere not the cheapest, but they were also not as expensive as many other Mercedes dealer shops.â And they gave me a three year warranty! I needed my car within a week for a trip to San Francisco. My friend in New York was doubtful that it would be ready in time. But MMS Autosport surprised me yet again. They got it ready days before and test-drove it over a day to make sure everything was good. And all was good. No more oil leaks. And the car handled like a dream. The drive out to San Francisco from Los Angeles was a breeze. If you have issues with your European car, you know where to go. Theyâll make you as happy as I...
Read morea couple impressions of the repair of my car.
the clutch is butter smooth. the first time i put my foot on it, i was shocked by the lack of resistance. I thought that resistance would add to pedal feel, but the lack of resistance actually allows one to manipulate the clutch evenly to any amount of engagement. so in a sense the lack of resistance adds to pedal feel.
the flywheel. i never knew how much i was fighting the sloppy flywheel. so much feathering of the accelerator and clutch to take off.
donât underestimate the value of shifter cables. it was like adding gates to the pattern, or like having a new transmission. the precision of the shifter, going position to position, flows. it feels like it knows where to go now.
4.the check engine light air leaks. the light was annoying , but it was losing boost. before, my idle boost numbers sat at about 18-18.5neg.. with the leaks fixed it sits at about 12.-13 neg. it also seems to run boost pressure numbers into the positive more readily now too. that i believe is causing it to run slightly warmer, but still plenty cool. i will monitor that, but iâm curious, what is the general temperature range of the engine?
the water pump and pulley. why would anyone want to drive such a sweet car, that sounds like thereâs a flock of birds under the hood. no more embarrassing squeaks of unsightly leaks.
thanks so much for everything, it has changed this car for the better. I tell everyone who will listen. i had it in two very competent shops in Reno, but Mini Motoring Solutions was the first time i felt someone understood the car and what i wanted to get out of the...
