Sprouts Farmers Market — Attraction in Lawndale

This is a bad location decision by Sprouts marketing. I'm pretty sure the staff and the actual store is amazing, but when corporate decides to lease the space left void by the former Pep Boys attached to a strip mall with two small parking lots in a car-centric region like LA County, this is just poor execution on their behalf.

I spent several minutes on a Friday afternoon around 2:00 pm trying to find an open parking spot, but I couldn't find an open spot. When I finally did, someone who didn't bother to signal ended up stealing my spot, adding to the frustrations. The veterinarian hospital also has some spots reserved for their customers, and that doesn't help either. If it weren't bad enough that there was construction taking up the parking lot closer to Rosecrans, it exacerbated things, and honestly I am not planning to go back to this particular Sprouts.

I was forced to drive 10 minutes south to the Redondo Beach location just to do my shopping, and that location is much better because it's in a well-established shopping center with no shortage of parking.

I'm not sure who the Asian lady is that works by the sushi section, but I was there on Saturday 4/12 and had a really unpleasant experience. I simply asked for some soy sauce, and she gave me such a harsh look it was intense enough that my friend and even my 11 year old picked up on the negative vibe. Another customer actually stepped in and said something to her on my behalf. 🥲

I was polite the entire time, even said thank you, but she ignored me completely. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or didn't want to be at work, but that kind of attitude isn't acceptable in customer service. If someone is that UNHAPPY in their role, maybe it's time for a change.

This store happens to be the most convenient for me, but if I experience that kind of treatment again, I won’t hesitate to speak directly to a manager. I held back yesterday because my child was with me, but that kind of behavior...

Chill people, good service but it kinda bother me that there's always that one staff being racist like I do get jokes but if it involves being loud and try to make a big deal out of it with other people about Hispanics and Indigenous being the "same big nosed people' then I'm not sure if it's taken seriously or not. I'm just confused plus just self conscious of a genetic condition of mines 😅. I get people try to make work entertaining but don't put others down for their own confidence. Most of them are kind and open-minded so I'm still going to support the store bcuz most of the food they have are...
