Glow Massage — Attraction in Lawrenceville

Update: after the manager reached out, I agreed to give Glow Massage another chance. I was scheduled with Kevin and THAT was a massage! It was EXCELLENT. I could feel the knots and kinks being worked out. The pressure was perfect - to my liking/preference. Prior to going, I had trouble sleeping throughout the night. That night after the massage with Kevin, I slept so solidly. It was one of the best night's sleep I'd had in a while. I don't know if it was coincidental or not but I will say it was due to the massage. Even the following night, I had another great rest.. I am looking forward to scheduling again soon with Kevin. He will definitely be my go to at Glow!

With all the glowing reviews, I was excited to try Glow Massage and it isn't far from my home. However, it seems like the art of massage is a thing of the past. I haven't had an excellent one in quite some time. Last month when I went to Punta Cana, I was disappointed there and when I tried this place last week (Glow Massage), it was underwhelming as well. So the masseuse asked me early on if the pressure was okay. I told him firmer/deeper. That lasted all of maybe 1 minute and then it was back to basically very gentle and just not very massage like. My husband and I opted for the 1 hour body, 30 mins feet. I was thinking okay, it really just feels like he is oiling me down. Not really a massage but I was hopeful of the foot massage that would come. First, I was surprised that the foot massage was also done on the table. Other massage spots I've gone to, you go to a chair and they soak your feet first, then the massage. So that was different. But again, the foot massage was nothing special. With a good/great massage, I usually will doze off and fall asleep. Not once did I here. Maybe it was just the luck of the draw and I didn't get a masseuse that really gives a great massage or knows how. The last great massage I had, I had to drive a ways out...so I guess I will go back to making a trip out of the way. Really rate 2.5 stars but rounded up because the staff...

Me and my husband were in need of massage really bad. This place had a great review so I booked it for 6:30pm today. Lady called later me and asked if we could do 7pm and I said sure. Got there at 7pm and by the time we were ready and 2 employees entered, it was 7:10pm. (I know this because I always check start time when I get massage)

They had one male and one female came in. I thought male would work on my husband and female would work on me. But no. They never asked if I was OK with male massager but male massager worked on me. I wasn't comfortable but I wasn't comfortable to ask to change either. They never asked if we had any previous injuries or certain areas we liked to focus. No questions, no communications. They just started working on us. Very painful. We got deep tissue so I knew it would be harder than Swedish. But there is hard pressure and there is painful pressure. This one was definitely painful one. They charged extra fee for using credit card. No explanation or no sign. They just charged it. Not a good business practice and I am actually not sure if it's legal or not. Female massager was on top of my husband? To massage him? On massage table? Never had that happen before so it was an experience, not a good one. By the time they left and I got out of the table, it was 8pm. So I paid for 60 minute service and only got 50 minutes. This is why I always check time when they start and when they finish.

Overall it was the worse massage we ever had and probably not...

I bought a Groupon for a 1 hr couple’s massage and 30 minute foot detox. Upon calling to redeem it the lady over the phone told me to bring cash for tips. Last I checked, tipping is optional and it rubs me the wrong way to be told to bring money when I already naturally tip.

Once there the receptionist was less than friendly and didn’t even give a real greeting. We were shown to a couple’s room and did our foot detox first. There’s a nail salon next door so be prepared to hear everyone talking over there. That really dampened the spa vibe because the decor is nice and cute but the loud talking and cackling from next door left much to be desired.

Our massages started late as I was on my phone up until our masseuses got inside so I noted the time it began. My husband enjoyed his massage but mine was sloppy and not at all completed. The lady was rough and did not do the same technique for each side of my body. She had me turn over and literally only did my arms and neck. What happened to my legs and feet? The final nail in the coffin is when they told us they were done I looked at my phone and they basically skimped us 15 minutes of massage time because like I said they were late coming into our room. I still ended up tipping but not nearly as much as I usually would for good service. I will definitely not be back and the Groupon is definitely...
