We had our wedding booked there for about a year in advance. I found out about 4 months before my wedding that they had booked a rehearsal only 30 min before the start of my wedding. It was actually booked while my upstairs rental was active... This meant we would be sharing the property! I went to complain about the mix up and ask if they could add more time to the end of our rental if her event pushed mine later. They told me " it is our venue and we can rent it out how we like and will not give you more time" they then told me they hoped I would find another venue so they didn't have to deal with someone who was so unreasonable. I am by no means a Bridezilla but I did feel like they had double booked our events (every other venue I have talked to agrees with this) I was talked down to, repeatedly insulted and treated like my event was less important because it was smaller and bringing them less revenue. I know most brides are thinking "it's the cheapest place in town" but when you factor all your linens, chairs, bartender set up, fees you pay to have someone clean up, fees for a police officer, fees for "processing" and all the other hidden fees.... THEN factor in that you will do all your set up yourself, the major restrictions on all the vendors you choose, the lack of privicy the venue provides and the Absolute rudeness of the female staff (the actual people you will be dealing with day of) then you'll find that it IS NOT WORTH IT! We ended up breaking our contract and going with the Yancy House and we LOVE them! They dont charge for chairs or linens and have no hidden fees. We even saved $1,000 and the hassle of doing all the set up! I lost half my deposit plus a BS 26$ processing fee but it was well worth it not to have to have my wedding at...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! My wedding was ruined, the service was terrible and it’s a complete waste of money. I had to beg to get them to repair the walls that were peeling and clean the chairs when one of ladies told me they don’t even clean chairs! One lady that worked their was extremely rude to me, my guests & family. She had been rude the day before to me and yet they still had her to work my event. I was told different things by different people that work there so that caused so much confusion. This place doesn’t care about you or your event they only want your money. They will lie, be rude, not acknowledge the wrongdoing of giving misinformation by different employees, they will cut your event short. The exclusive package is a joke! We paid for the outside gazebo and it rained so we could not use it so guess what we were told we would not get our money back. The weather is outside of our control yet we paid for something that we didn’t even get to use. If you’re planning a wedding run far away from this place! If you want bad service, rude employees, lies and misinformation by all means go ahead. It’s not worth the...

Called to get some information about their wedding options and made an appointment to tour the facility. The day of my appointment I waited in the hallway while one of the staff was finishing up with another couple. 15 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start she finally acknowledges me just to tell me she doesn’t have my appointment on her calendar. Finally she gives me the tour I waited over 30 minutes for. The facility itself is okay for a wedding but the staff did not seem very organized and in my opinion they nickel and dime you. I feel linenes (at least basic linens) should be included in your rental! I was not very impressed and you may want to call and confirm your appointment before going to make sure they have it on their “calendar”. The lady even showed me her calendar and I swear I saw my name on it but I was ready to leave at that point and didn’t want to deal with her...

This is a great piece of Lawrenceville history! The woodwork is beautiful and there is so much information inside about our veterans. We went for the lighting of the Christmas tree and during the holidays, the county goes over the top with decorations! There are Christmas trees in each room and each room has a different theme. There is no diversity in the decorations as all of it is focused on Christmas but each tree is classy and gorgeous. It is located in downtown Lawrenceville and free to the public. This is also a beautiful spot for weddings, family portraits and other photo opportunities. I recommend walking through if you have the chance and then continue waking around downtown Lawrenceville because it is a wonderful city to be in!

Tour of Venue for Wedding. The high ceilings, and wide hallways were beautiful. I love to look and feel of the places. Hosting the wedding and reception indoors is an option and the Courtroom is large and beautiful. I see so much potential in this place. Unfortunately, the parking is not close by, the venue is open to the public during curtain hours and if your function is during the holiday you'll have to work with or around the decorations that have been put in place. Which could save you a small fortune on decorating yourself. The venue is also very affordable compared to other venues near by. Definitely worth seeing

Gwinnett Historic Court House is located in the historic downtown of Lawrenceville in Gwinnett County. Saint Patrick’s day weekend on a Saturday was held around McRays Tavern. Gwinnett Historic Court House is usually open Monday - Friday for self guided tours & Saturday till 2pm. It was past 3pm but the facility was still open, probably because of St Patrick’s Day Celebration. Inside are historical artifacts dating 200 years ago. Aside from art & culture, the venue itself promotes wedding packages at a fair cost. Pretty intriguing part of history.
