This park was everything 🥹💕 #fyp #georgiaparks #thingstodo #playground #nature #scenery #naturewalk

I haven't explored the entire park and have never been in the aquatic center. The lake is beautiful and teeming with wildlife. The playgrounds are clean and kept up for safety. The bike trail circles the lake and the softball fields were very well kept. If you visit any park, please note: Though it is an endearing concept and American tradition to feed the birds at the park, it is very unhealthy for the birds. It can cause irregular and extended migration patterns, as well as have adverse side effects to their digestive system causing diarrhea. Let nature care for nature and remember that feeding any animal in the wild makes them more dependent upon human interaction which they may not always have.

This place was awesome but of course I only viewed it through The eyes of a as I am blind and I put a GoPro on my dog and accessibility feature where it tells me what's going on to the lens of the GoPro it seemed like an awesome place

My husband and I go to the park several times a week! We do love this park, I would give it a 5 stars but there are a two specific complaints that I would like to address.

We walk around the pond with our dog but we mostly go here to play tennis.

1)The older gentleman who collects money for the tennis / pickleball courts is very hasty upon arrival, he comes outside of the “front desk shack” and meets you outside of the building instead of waiting inside of the building where the money is supposed to be collected. Our very first time to the courts he called my husband a “bad fellow” because we paid with a $50.00 and I guess he didn’t want to give us that kind of change- we didn’t have any other cash and did not know we could not pay with card. (They do not accept card, but it would be nice if they did accept card payments.) I have seen the older man who works here approach the pickle ball courts and stare at a young group of young girls trying to play pickle ball together. Another time, we brought our dog and he said “what do you plan to do with the livestock” this is a dog, not livestock -then my dog barked a single woof and he said “shut up Jack Russell” and pointed his finger at her. My dog would’ve been leashed outside of the fence line but we just left and did not play tennis that day. Very weird behavior, I don’t know if he is a great fit for this job- creepy vibes and rude - which is a HORRIBLE combination for a man who is hired to be working at a park…

The younger gentleman is always very kind and polite everytime, he smiles and does not make weird comments.

To avoid the older man’s behavior we started playing in the afternoons, when the younger gentleman works.

  1. The pickleball issue- If somebody comes to play tennis there is not always a court available because and there are pickle ball matches happening on all of the pickle ball courts, AND ALL of the TENNIS courts. It would be great if somebody could monitor the pickleball courts and add some kind of organization- a board with how much time is left in a match, with names showing next in line to play…ANYTHING that would give a visual idea of how long you will be waiting to play pickleball. (People will play pickleball for longer than the hour that they paid for. Making it almost impossible to play pickleball in the afternoons) TENNIS COURTS should be used for TENNIS. If there is such a demand for the pickle ball courts, add some more pickleball courts, or maybe tell the people who come to play tennis that they can use a tennis court and ask one of the pickle ball matches to get off of the tennis courts, and wait for the next available pickle ball court.

The Aquatics Facility is ghetto and overcrowded! Do yourself a favor and go to another facility. The staff is not helpful and not friendly. I guess because it stays crowded due to cheap prices for a "water park" and nowhere else to go in the area people suck up how bad it really is. They allowed my 16 year old to pay full price knowing that in 15 minutes they would be doing a safety break (no swimming for 15 minutes) and that would have been 5pm when the price would drop to half. When we asked why they would take her money knowing they wouldn't be able to swim until AFTER the price dropped, they claimed to have told her. They refused to be accommodating for the obvious miscommunication. It was as if, "we have enough people, losing you won't matter." That is the worst costumer service and not to mention a horrible business attitude to have. Jordan was a jerk as was Brittany. It appeared as if they almost found it humorous that they had gotten over on my daughter. We only stayed because we had two small children that were waiting to go in for almost an hour (my husband had to get swim trunks although he was not swimming) and I did not want them disappointed. I repeat, avoid this place like the plague. It's not worth the price. Not to mention the pictures they have on the site must be about 6 years old because it definitely doesn't look like that anymore...end rant of...

Rhodes Jordan Park is a 162-acre park that has an aquatic center, a community recreation center, and a really great paved lake trail, about a mile and a half long, with many swings and benches along the path. The trail goes through both open sun and wooded shady areas and over a nice bridge walkway. There are basketball courts here and additionally, eight lighted hardcourt tennis courts with adjacent restrooms and ample free parking space. I love the way the tennis courts are laid out, and they are well away from any roadway. Singles play is $5.00/hr and doubles $14.00/2 hr. It's free on off hours. There is a large pavilion, picnic tables and grills near the lake, with also a children's playground along the lake, and there is fishing in the lake too. You'll see lots of ducks and geese! A horseshoe court lies near the tennis and basketball courts, though I've never seen anyone play! There are several outdoor softball fields, too. Apparently the park also boasts a terrific gym! I know the aquatic center is extremely popular. See other reviews and the Gwinnett County recreation website for more amenities Rhodes Jordan...
