This place is great. They have a section for small dogs and one for large dogs. Each section has different things for the dogs to play with; such as mounds of dirt with pipe ways to crawl though, rails to jump, plenty of trees and fire hydrants, and large basins for drinking water. They have a two gate system for each of the parks so thereās limited availability for a loose dog to get away. There are plenty of āpotty stationsā for waste bags, and many trash cans. Also, on the exterior of the play areas are two wash stations in case your dog gets extra filthy. I assume this is all covered by the local taxes because there is no fee to use anything. Itās conveniently located and relatively close to home. We were apprehensive about taking our dog because heās large. Heās a rescue so we didnāt bring him up around other dogs. He also only has three legs so we worried he might get bullied. Lots of worries when new people and dogs are around. But he absolutely loves it. We can take him off the leash and he mostly stays close to us as we walk. He plays with all the other dogs. You do have to keep an eye on them though. There are sometimes aggressive dogs that will try to dominate. Most people seem to try to keep their pets in line but things happen. But this really is a great place and I recommend...

PSA: there has been a confirmed case of Canine Influenza (CIV) in League City. Based on the timeline of the sick dog it has been narrowed down to being infected from the League City Dog Park. CIV, like human flu, is a virus but it can lead to pneumonia. Most common symptoms are; lethargy, fever, cough, nasal and occular discharge. A dog can shed the virus for up to 21 days and not show signs of the illness. At AKPH, the CIV vaccine is a core vaccine. Most of our patients are vaccinated for the virus. If your dog is seen at AKPH for any of the above symptoms, we ask that you keep the pup in your car. We will come outside to you. We have to keep the chance for contamination down. If your dog is showing any of the above symptoms, please give us a call. If you are not sure if your pet has been vaccinated, please give us a call. If you pet has been at the League City Dog Park recently, please keep an eye on how they are feeling.
My pup loves it. Some people don't clean up after their animals. Only downfall....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat place to bring the big dogs and separate area for small dogs. I love everything about this park except 3 things.
1 There's been a sign saying future dog pond for like a year now with no signs of it being built 2 There aren't enough tables and benches located under the shade trees 3 There are only 2 dog water fountains. I wish there were 2 more water fountains 1 under the tree area and another near the supposed dog pond area
I know it sounds picky but I feel that's what will make this...
