Over the last couple of years, I've been to this theatre a couple of times. What I like about this theatre is its prime location (main reason why we keep going, having to need a babysitter to watch our kids). I love the general vibe and the coziness of the theatre.
However, I have no clue how it can keep running like it does. It's always quiet and feels kinda dead. It has a beautiful lobby and bar space, but you never see anyone there. The bar also looks closed all the time. So sad, this could be a great hangout spot! That said, they do offer a nice variety of snacks and drinks, all the go-to's you'd expect in a movie theatre. I also like the theatres itself: big screens, great sound, comfy seats that recline, clear lighting of the steps and seat numbers.
The thing that bothers me though, is how dirty everything always is. This place needs a serious deep clean. You can see popcorn laying under the seats from afar. And don't get me started on the restrooms. Half of the toilets are out of order. Other ones the doorlocks don't work or are plain dirty. This is not from 1 evening. As soon as you walk in this place, your feet get stuck to the floor. It's super sticky everywhere you go. Usually, I like to dress up, when going to the movies, especially since we often combine it with dinner before or some drinks after. But when I go to this theatre, I don't do that, don't want my clothes to get dirty. This is also one of the reasons why we only get popcorn or packaged things, things we can see. I don't want anything from their kitchen, who knows how clean it is back there?
My guess is: not enough staff. We only saw a handful of people at the food stand. We saw only one person to clean the theatre when the movie was over. We could've walked in for free too. Nobody there to check your tickets. Despite the fact that they actually have really good deals. Discounts on Tuesdays, and if you subscribe, free ticket on your birthday and wedding anniversary. It's such a shame, because this theatre is so nice and people are friendly otherwise. I want to give this theatre another chance so badly, but they really need to get their act together. Covid is over, no...
Read moreLet's start with the things I love about it. It was clean, and the staff was pleasant and helpful with explaining how to order for dine in experience. What brought my rating down was how the ordering process wasn't really streamlined, effectively for dining in the theater. You have to place your order at the concession stand and choose to either come back to pick it up yourself or have it delivered to the seat, and even after I said I would like seat delivery I had to repeat myself multiple times like the server was extremely busy fyi which he wasn't. After getting into the theater and seated in our seats which is a whole process as well bc I'm used to the carpet having the level letters on it and it wasn't only to find out my seats were on the opposite side of the theater and there wasn't an entrance on that side either. The food was about $125.00. This is what we ordered 2 burgers with fries, a kids cheese pizza, funnel cake, large popcorn, 4 drinks, 2 candies, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks. I also had to write down my seat and auditorium number for the servers as well. The food was sub-par! Chicken tenders had no seasoning and only came with honey mustard. The mozzarella sticks were salty af! How the heck they managed to make marinara salty as well idk. Funnel cake was fried so hard that you could probably break a tooth. Popcorn was all kernels and all crushed. You also don't get the option of putting on your own butter. My daughter only ate the cheese off the pizza bc she said the crusts were hard and doughy. My husband said the burger patties were too small for the bun with no seasoning at all, and my son agreed. If this is what the dine in movie theaters are like here.... maybe I'll pass bc it just wasn't worth it at all! Take a lesson from the AMC dine - in theaters. Food options are way better. Also, a little side note if you order chicken wings, you only get the spicy buffalo flavor option, oh, but you can choose ranch or blue cheese. Think I'll look for other options, but this one...
Read moreCalled ahead to make sure that they had popcorn w/o butter as i am vegan and do not consume dairy. They employee on the phone said that they do have popcorn w/o butter. When I arrived, and purchased the "CMX combo" and went to go get my popcorn. I waited for about 5 minutes in front of the popcorn stand with no help. Finally, I told the clerks that nobody was back there to help me. He said "I'll be right there". A minute later, a girl pushing a mop bucket came in and w/o washing her hands starts shoveling the popcorn in the bag. I told her that I wanted the popcorn w/o the butter and she told me "there is no popcorn w/o butter". I told her that I called ahead and the person in the phone told me that they did in fact have popcorn w/o butter. The other clerks came over and told me that it is just artificial butter and is fine for me to eat eat. I told them that because they are both giving conflicting stories, that I would like my money back for the popcorn. When we went back to the clerk desk, he told me that because the popcorn girl has only been working at this establishment for a week, so she didn't know. I told him that it doesn't matter how long she's been working here, and that she should know about the popcorn. He tried to argue with me bc she was new that she didn't know. It still doesn't matter. What matters is the customer. And because of the uneducated employees, this establishment is losing money bc their employees are not knowledgeable. On top of all of this, we walked straight back to the movie w/ anyone even checking to see of we paid or not. Definitely not a good movie theatre's. We will not return and continue to go...
